Shoulder superset on the smith machine? Sculpt your shoulders with these 2 exercises - shoulder press (I do mine behind the head because I prefer it) and upright rows! These are amazing for the shoulders - train until failure as always - no toning light weight high rep workouts around here! Add to your next arm workout day @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #gymgirl #shoulderworkout #gymrat #upperbodyworkout
Your next glute workout dropset? Bulgarian split squats (with weight) into bodyweight reps toil failure. Drop sets like these give glutes an insane pump and also help with unilateral strength and balance. Save this for your glute workout! @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #glutes #glutegains #gymgirl #gluteworkout
4 smith machine only glute exercises for the shy gym girls! Save these if you need simple and easy set up glute exercises for your next glute lower body workout. Bulgarian split squats, good mornings, Romanian deadlifts and step ups! All great options for glute gains! @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #gymworkout #xyzcba #glutegrowth #glutes
@AYBL dc ELIZABETH10. Are face pulls not doing anything to develop your rear delts? Because your reps are rushed, and are probably going straight to your traps. Raise those arms, and stop using your scapula to pull the weight. Face pulls are amazing for upper back detailing/back of the shoulders workout, but do them correctly! Save this for your next back workout. Face pulls tutorial how to do face pulls rear delts #GymTok #facepulls #backworkout #gymrat #xyzcba
Want round glutes? End your glute workout with hip abductions every single time. It’s an insane finisher for the glute medius and minimus (when performed correctly). Stop leaning forwards! Keep tension on the glutes by not rushing the reps and use a challenging weight. Train til failure! @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #glutegrowth #glutes #fitnesstips #GymTok #xyzcba
How to train until failure? Pick a weight and rep range. You should be challenged, but should be able to lift the weight with strict correct form. Push through the reps even as they slow down with fatigue. Assess your reps in reserve (RIR). If you have zero reps in reserve, then you have reached failure! Only stop when you cannot complete another rep with correct form. Back workout glute workout @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #fitnesstips #xyzcba #gymworkout #gymroutine
Cable glute kickbacks not feeling them in your glutes? Adjust the cable to around hip height, and try again! The glute engagement goes crazy. Deep back line workout with just dumbells? Swimmers are an amazing exercise - a classic Pilates and dryland movement that targets and strengthens the entire backline (posterior chain) of your body, including the lower back, glutes, upper back, and hamstrings! Save this if you workout from home or are a shy girly in the gym! Back workout dumbell only deep back line @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #backtraining #xyzcba #gymrat #backworkout
Foot positions on the leg press. They matter! Target quads, outer quads, adductors (inner thigh), and glutes and hamstrings on the leg press with a foot position change. Know the difference leg press @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #GymTok #legpress #gymroutine #fypppppppppppppp #gymmotivation
3 exercises to train rear delts - cable rear delt fly unilateral or bilateral, rear delt fly on the peck deck, or face pulls with rear delts focus! @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH back workout back exercises back training for women #gymtok #xyzcba #backtraining #gymrat #backworkout
If your back is just wide, stop overtraining your lats. Focus on erector spinae, as well as rhomboids, traps, rear delts and Teres major/minor! A 3D back isn’t hard to get, you’ve just focused on lats too much! Build thickness and depth in your back workouts @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #backtraining #gymworkout #xyzcba #gymrat
POV: back day and you can’t feel your back exercises in your back?? By moving your thumb to the side with the rest of your fingers, the grip shifts the focus from your biceps to your back. It helps you pull with your elbows and not your biceps! Helps engage lats so you never feel exercises in your arms @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #GymTok #gymrat #gymworkout #goviral #backtraining
And that’s on LEARNING. Not using my scapula has been a hard hard challenge for me to overcome. Face pulls are one of my favourite back exercises for a defined upper back and for rear delts. I used to do them so so so wrong, and they almost were a Lat pulldown. But, I’ve learnt, grown and done them every single week to get here. I am finally not using my scapula which will engage my rear delts far far more than ever! If you do face pulls, keep going!! Gym progress is so rewarding. Fix your face pulls for rear delts: stop using your scapula. Don’t drop your arms and have no tension. It took me a long time to stop using my scapula - but it will isolate your rear delts which is likely what you want to do with face pulls rather than build your traps. POV: you’re doing hip abductions WRONG!!!! Leaning forwards is redundant (to train glute maximus) when you’re already doing a full glute day consisting of hip thrusts, RDLs and Bulgarian split squats which all train your glute maximus already. Lean into the seat queen!! That will really train your glute maximus and medius. @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #glutes #gymworkout #glutegrowth #xyzcba
How to make the perfect recipe for a glute workout every time! You only need 4 exercises to have a good glute day. Pick from: 1 isolation exercise (cable kickbacks or hip abductions), 1 unilateral movement (step ups or Bulgarian split squats), 1 hinge movement in the lengthened position (RDLs or good mornings) and finally, always do your hip thrusts! This is a non negotiable for me. This pick and mix method helps you to never do too many glute exercises in one session. @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #GymTok #glutes #gluteworkout #gymworkout #gymrat
Lat pulldowns felt in your arms or nowhere near your lats? Retract your scapula for peak Lats activation, and helps with your mind to muscle connection. No swinging, and don’t let your shoulders come up to your ears. Control the rep @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #gymgirls #latpulldown #backworkout #gymlife
Deep back line and glute growth in the same exercise? Do hyperextensions and RDLs, train your erector spinae for that deep line girl!! Back workout for women @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #backworkout #girlswholift #gymgirls #xyzcba
Glute cable kickbacks: what’s the difference? One targets glute maximus, one glute medius and the other glute minimus! Cable kickbacks are amazing for isolating the upper glutes particularly but also don’t miss the bench gym hack for no pain in the standing leg!! @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #glutes #gymgirls #girlswholift #xyzcba
Back workout in 4 exercises- these are my 4 go to back exercises when I need a quick back training session. I train mostly for a defined and thick back rather than a wide one, so I focus a lot on rear delts, erectors for a deep back line, and I do enjoy Lat pulldowns for the appearance of a smaller waist! @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #backtraining #backworkout #xyzcba #gymgirls
The cue I used to fix my face pulls technique! Hands high, thumbs rotated out, and pull around your face and not down. This helps me isolate my rear delts and prevents use of scapula. How do you do face pulls for rear delts? @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #facepulls #gymtok #backworkout #xyzcba #backtraining
How to get a deep back line in 3 exercises - train your erector spinae through hip hinge movements such as back extensions, deadlift variants, and good mornings! Add these to your back workout @DFYNE dc ELIZABETH #gymtok #backworkout #xyzcba #backtraining #gymgirls
Train your erector spinae for that deep back line!!!! I do RDLs, good mornings and back extensions to ensure my deep back line is popping!
