- Here’s a bunch of ways you might feel awkward when doing drills, find the one that works for you, hope it helps! ❤️❤️❤️
- Replying to @Flowerhenny~ A drill to help with overstriding: I’ll be honest, some of the things I come up with are random, but pretty good 😂 Being someone who COULD NOT figure out how to do stuff right away, I’ve always had to find out what I was doing wrong and create cues to help me fix it. When they work (some do not 😂) I show them to you! I hope this one helps, because overstriding caused me SO MANY issues before I corrected it! ❤️❤️❤️
- A drill for my chest lean-ers… the 🎶FALL…. and CATCH! Try this drill before your next run to get the feel, and when you think you’ve got it, go on a jog and see if you notice the difference! 👏✨
- Eyes Up ✅ Eyes down ❌ lets me tell you why: 👀 look at the spine when my eyes are looking down towards my feet vs when my eyes are up. A neutral chin is a technique win 👏 (just made that up just now) ⚡️looking down, gives the illusion of running faster, while putting your body in a position to run slower. You will run naturally fast faster with less effort if your head and eyes are up. ⬆️ looking up can actually help you avoid obstacles better. Seeing something ahead vs right in front of you can allow you to move around sooner. 😮💨 tucking your chin can slightly compress your airway, keeping your head neutral, keeps everything a lot more open and gives you much more breathing efficiency If you’re running today, try looking down and then looking up and see if you noticed the difference in your positions, breathing, awareness, and overall efficiency! Looking down is something that happens naturally when we start to get tired, but making sure that we’re checking our surroundings looking up and keeping our head neutral is so important! ✨ #letsrunthere #brookspartner @Brooks Running
- One of my FAVORITE drills… because it mimics running and gets our body to memorize mechanics 👏🫶🙌 Remember: drills equal running form ✅✅✅
- Overstriding was one of my biggest issues when it came to my running form: I was less efficient, I was getting tired faster, and I had horrible shin splints! Cleaning it up was a process, but the difference in my times, my health, and my goal was obvious!
- Step DOWN, not OUT!!! Now I want to clarify, stride length is still very important, but we do not want the stride length to come down towards the ground. We want it to be in our knee drive and extension. I’ll make another video about that soon! ❤️ ##WomensSportsTikTokContest##WomenInSports
- Hot take: longer strides aren’t always better ✨ Let me show you a way to keep your pace a bit more consistent under fatigue by “shrinking your stride” 👏
- Skipping is VERY helpful for running form. If I’m you… I’d start to skip around a whole bunch 😂🫶 #WomensSportsTikTokContest #WomenInSports

- USE YOUR ARMS to make you a better runner 🙌✨👏 These tips are based on you doing one main thing: keeping those shoulders loosey goosey 🫶👍 Give it a try for your next run! ❤️❤️
- “How are you STILL IMPROVING????” Literally what a competitor’s coach asked me when he saw me at a meet. Easy: I was always willing to recover, I was curious, and I stayed healthy. ✨
- A drill that will help you be a healthier runner: the WALL DRILL! Such a great drill to both activate and strengthen those hips! Really important to do before runs, and for general strength! Save for later to give it a try! ✨👏
- One of the number one things I get asked about if breathing in running. The best tip I can give you by far is that taking a “total” breath is so important. The cadence of the breath will change based on your tempo, but making sure that we don’t get into hyperventilation when running.
- STACK YOUR RUNNING!!! And the more you check in, the easier it is to adjust! 👏✨🙌
- Three ways that I’ve liked to hold my hands when I run! Remember: Tight hands??? Tired legs!!! What’s your favorite way?
- 40% INCLINE?! 😱 Yes, it’s as intense as it looks. I actually remember the first time I tried the incline and said “Oh, and I’ll just walk at 40% for 30 minutes,” and 2 minutes in, I realized it was much harder than I thought! I wanted to break down how I use the incline on my @NordicTrack X24 Tradmill ✅ Declines (-6%) for stabilizers. ✅ Flats (0%) for recovery and pace work. ✅ Brutal Hills (20%) for endurance. ✅ The Summit (40%) for the ultimate burn. iFit membership is sold separately. Do you ever use incline or decline on the treadmill? Let me know in the comments! 👇✨
- “WHY DO WE DO DRILLS CHAR???” …..let me show you ☺️ Remember: if you do your drills, you’ll make the movements stronger. If the movements are stronger, you’ll do them even when you’re tired. #WomenInSports #WomensSportsTikTokContest
- For my runners: dynamic movement and drills are not to be skipped. They allowed you to improve form and decrease injury, allowing you to become a better, faster runner. For my athletes that don’t run: dynamic movement and drills are not to be skipped. They keep fundamental functions of your body active and are huge for longevity, and not just in sport… in life! Excited for warm weather activities with my @Brooks Running family 🫶❤️ #brookspartner #letsrunthere
- Mental Train with me ✨💪
- Three Drills for better running foot strike ✨🫶💪 Give them a try and watch those times drop!
- Question. When you focus on the “down”, do you also focus on the “back”??? If not, try it on your next run and tell me how it goes!
- So now that you know: which are you picking between lanes 1-8?
- I think the number one compliment I get on my drills is “how easy” I make them look. This isn’t about talent at all… it’s about intention and practice! ✨👏💪 I’m going to share EXACTLY what I do to make them look “easy” and most importantly to make them more APPLICABLE to running! Let me know if you want this for other drills and which ones you struggle with most! #WomenInSports #WomensSportsTikTokContest
