- 4I wrote, directed, and "starred in" a music video for Halloween about this character that represents my anxiety. TikTok won't let me post it without muting the sound, so it's on my IG. I hope you love it β€οΈ Happy Halloween
- I don't even know if I'm ready...
- How to Master the A-Skip β¨
- Quick fixes for your running technique β¨ Can I ask.... Why do you love to run? For me: it makes me feel capable. Strong. It offers a challenge that I get to say I overcame. I love watching myself get better at something hard. It also given me so many opportunities in my life. Places I never would have gone if I didn't have a race, people I never would have met if I didn't share my journey, and things I might have never accomplished without it. No matter the reason you run (tell me, I want to know) do your drills, cause I want to keep you fast and healthy, doing the thing you love to do for forever β€οΈ
- I'm going to make this part 1, because I know I can do better and now I'm on a mission! π Based on my own teaching, what adjustments/advice would you give me? I have like 5 right away but let me know what you're thinking! What would you rate my run overall?
- Maui Beach Workout at Sunrise. Day Made β¨ Which is better? Sunrise or Sunset?
- I am usually talking about drills, honestly, but some of them are about technique and some are about mobility. BOTH good!!! But itβs important to know the difference, because WHY we do things dictates our effectiveness more than we might even realize!!! Also yes I named a drill after myself, because Iβm convinced I invented it because I did this movement as a walking stretch, but I wanted it more dynamic and sharp, so I turned it into a skip. Patent not pending in any way π
- GET MORE FLEXIBLE IN ONE MINUTE!!! This is the β¨Magic Stretchβ¨ and I Love It... put it in your saved videos and see what doing it 4x per week does for you!!!!
- "WHY ARE BLOCKS SET UP CROOKED???" I'll explain, it's really interesting!
- Sometimes the most subtle changes make the biggest difference! When it comes to ARMS in running, make sure the the hinge is happening at the SHOULDER β and not the ELBOW β This is going to help keep things counterbalanced so the midsection isn't having to twist! What's your biggest "bad habit" in running?
- One of the BEST things you can do for your running form is to ENGAGE THAT CORE and get the hips up and under you!!! β¨β One note: an "engaged" core is not the same as a "flexed" core. Try to move your hips under you by using your core to do it. HOPE THIS HELPS!!! Whats your workout for today?
- A barefoot warm up to try!! Training barefoot is soooooo helpful in so many ways, save this for later and give it a try outside before its too cold!! β¨
- All the workouts and fits I wore this week! What was your hardest workout of the week? @Brooks Running #letsrunthere
- Let's take a track quiz!!!! How many did you get right???
- Have you ever wondered what why track athletes wear spikes?
- WHYYYYY do I care about focusing on the down so much??? I think it's because when I first started to try it, running was so much harder and so much less enjoyable. I soon learned that if I work with gravity, the run is faster and more efficient. Go try it out! β¨β¨β¨
- If you were only to focus on 3 drills: here's what I think you should focus on!!! save this for your next warm up! Drills matter SOOOO much more than you'd think!!!!
- I get SO nervous to run up these dang stairs. But every time I do it, I FEEL myself get stronger. That's the thing: ALL IT IS, is kind of hard. WE CAN DO THAT! And when we do that, we reap the reward. β¨ So if you are worried. If you don't want to. If you are hesitant. TELL YOURSELF: "Hey, all this is, is kind of hard. And THATS something I can do."
- Common running form mistakes! Head, shoulders, knees, & toes! Do you find yourself struggling with any of these!?
- Look at my fingers!!!! πππ I decided to get into an ice tub, then I got out and said "wait let me film one while I'm here" and got back in π cold therapy is great, can't you tell I'm having so much fun? π«£ no really, I love it... and had I done it again, I would have dipped in the hot tub first for a minute and then gone back for more and it would have been contrast therapy!
- Now YOU can get disqualified in YOUR next meet π«Έπ«·
- Question: when was the last time you did an all out sprint? If you tried right now, how would it go?
- CHALLENGE!!!! You can get up right now and do it with me, or save it later for before or after your next workout!!! 180 steps in one min!!!
- One of my FAVORITES!!!!! I LOVE JUMP ROPE DRILLS. If you try this, let me know how it goes. I did this on my first try, and I'm bragging about that because I was USELESS with any other jump rope trick I tried!!!!
