one-bowl Breakfast Cookies with Chocolate and Cherries! — and indiscriminately throwing shade at breakfast cookies with bananas in them 🤭 This recipe is driven by self-interest. I wanted something easy to grab for breakfast or post-workout snack that met certain criteria: ✔️ good source of protein (at least equiv to 1 large egg) ✔️ refined sugar free ✔️ no bananas - such a common ingredient in breakfast cookies but I wanted mine neutral without banana-y flavour ✔️ no protein powder - I rather drink my protein powder ✔️ taste really good obviously! ✔️ one-bowl recipe full recipe on my site “Breakfast Cookies with Dark Chocolate and Cherries” 🤎
#AD Me: I’m so exhausted . Also me: The kitchen needs to be spotless before I can go to bed 🧽🫧 I’ve embraced this about me because waking up to a spotless kitchen and a clean and empty sink is totally worth it. But I don’t wanna spend all night cleaning! Luckily, I can rely on #cascade Platinum Plus and its upgraded formula as a part of my kitchen reset routine which does an even better job of getting my dishes spotless, dry, and odor-free without pre-rinsing or hand drying – making dishwashing simpler and more efficient so I can get to the “wind-down-and-chill” part of my evening a whole lot faster. Feel good by doing good! This April, 75 cents from every Cascade Platinum and Platinum Plus product purchased at Walmart will be donated to Earth Rangers to support programming that inspires and empowers the next generation to become environmental leaders. #CascadePlatinumPlus #cleanwithme #cleaningmotivation #cleaningtherapy#kitchenreset
We’ll just pretend it didn’t snow this week 😤 I’m heralding the arrival of Spring (like for real) with Strawberry Matcha Iced Lattes on repeat! Here to prove you can make a super Creamy Tuscan Pasta without a lick of heavy cream! Earth’s Own The Alt is an oh-so-creamy blend of oats and coconut with non-soy protein sources of faba beans and yellow peas. With 5g protein per cup and as much calcium as 2% dairy milk, Earth’s Own The Alt is the perfect 1:1 swap for dairy! #ad @EarthsOwn INGREDIENTS ¾ lb dry spaghetti 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 tbsp butter ½ C sundried tomatoes, finely chopped 2 shallots, finely chopped 4 garlic cloves, minced ½ tsp dried oregano ½ tsp dried basil ½ tsp dried parsley ¼ tsp dried thyme ¼ tsp dried rosemary ½ tsp dried chili pepper flakes 1/8 tsp black pepper ½ C dry white wine 1 tbsp tomato paste 2 C Earth’s Own The Alt milk 1 C broth 1 C reserved pasta cooking water ¾ C grated Parmigiano Reggiano 1-2 handfuls baby spinach Cook pasta according to package minus 2 minutes for al dente. Add oil and butter into pan on medium heat.Sauté sundried tomatoes, shallots, garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, thyme, rosemary, chili pepper flakes and black pepper for 2 minutes to bloom flavours. Deglaze with wine, scraping pan and simmering until the alcohol smell dissipates and liquid is significantly reduced. Add tomato paste and cook until the colour deepens, 2 to 3 minutes. Add broth and The Alt milk. Add pasta and simmer 2 minutes, adding pasta water as needed to adjust sauce consistency. Taste and season with salt if needed (depends on saltiness of broth and pasta water). Off heat, toss in grated cheese and baby spinach. Enjoy!

🩷🥟 recipe for pink dough below ⇣ recipe for Shanghai pork and bok choy filling is on the blog or search “Saltnpepperhere Shanghai pork bok choy wontons” to find it BEET PINK DOUGH (makes 1/2 lb) 70g red beet root 155g all purpose flour 80ml boiling water Boil beets until fork tender, approx 45 mins. Drain and rub skins off under tap water. Place in small blender with 80ml boiling water. Blend until smooth. Drizzle beet water slowly into flour while stirring. Once mixture pulls together into a dough, feel the dough to assess whether more liquid is needed (I just add a bit more water to the blender with the residual beet juice to get pink liquid) or more flour is needed. It should feel firm but kneadable. Knead 8-10 mins. Cover and rest 15 mins. Knead again 3 mins. Wrap well and rest 30-60 mins. The dough is ready to use. For this, I cut the dough into 2 smaller pieces rolled in pasta roller until thickness of setting 6 (second thinnest) and cut into hearts using a cookie cutter. Fill and steam dumplings 5 minutes. The colour retains better when steamed (versus boiled). 💘 #valentinesday #dumplings #pink #beet #vday

#ad Crispy Wontons with Yuzu Mayo Shrimp made with @Hellmann’s Canada Real Mayonnaise for its rich and creamy flavour is the irresistible appetizer you need to make for your Lunar New Year feast!! Full recipe in caption below👇 Hellmann's® can help you level up all your Lunar New Year recipes – head over to the Walmart page at the link in my bio to purchase Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise. Wishing all a wonderful new year filled with good health, laughter and bags of money 🎊🧧 CRISPY WONTONS WITH YUZU MAYO SHRIMP For shrimp filling: 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined 6 tbsp Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise 1 tbsp chilli garlic sauce – see note 2 tsp yuzu juice 1 tsp rice vinegar ½ tsp kosher salt (1 tsp if using Diamond Crystal) 1/8 tsp white pepper For wontons: ½ lb 3” wonton wrappers Chives for tying 3 C high heat oil for frying For dipping sauce: ¼ C Hellmann’s® Real Mayonnaise 1 tbsp honey 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp yuzu juice Place shrimp filling ingredients in a small food processor and pulse until mixture is partially chopped with visible chunks of shrimp i.e. NOT pureed smooth. Refrigerate to marinade 15 minutes. Meanwhile mix dipping sauce ingredients together and set up wonton wrapping station – a tray, small dish of water and kitchen towel. To form wontons, dampen wrapper 1/3” from the edge. Place 2 teaspoon of lightly-packed filling in the center. Pull corners up, pinching firmly right above filling to seal and tie with a small piece of chive. Cover with kitchen towel to prevent drying while repeating with the rest. Heat oil on medium heat to 350f or when bubbles rise rapidly up the sides of a wooden chopstick. Fry wontons in batches 3-4 mins or when golden. Transfer to paper towel-lined tray to absorb excess oil, then onto cooling rack so bottoms stay crispy. Serve with dipping sauce. Makes 45 wontons. Note: I use Chinese preserved garlic chili garlic sauce. Alternatives include Sambal Oelek, gochujang, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha or any other chili sauce you enjoy! #HellmannsCanadaPartner #LunarNewYear #chinesenewyear #lunarnewyearfood #dumplings
Baked Alaska 🩷🤎💚 I always wanted to eat the Baked Alaska at Gage & Tollner but until then, I made it myself with slight modifications, using Caroline Schiff’s recipe on @Cherry Bombe site. Most notable change is I made Italian meringue instead of French since it is the most stable of meringues and I needed it to hold up for 9 hrs. Until TT has the same capability, head to the same post on my IG to get the recipes I used sent to you #bakedalaska #dessert #newyears #newyearsparty
