- SAVE THIS: This is a review from the most recent overview publication about ADHD treatment during pregnancy in the New England Journal of Medicine.
- When you get invited to speak at the UNSTOPPABLE summit at @ParisHilton house, they will spoil you beyond relief so that you’re fully prepped, pampered and relaxed with a solid night of sleep before.
- THIS IS WHY ⬇️ Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Help with focus, mood regulation, and reducing inflammation in the brain. Studies show they may improve attention and reduce hyperactivity in some people with ADHD. Magnesium: Calms the nervous system, supports sleep, and helps with emotional regulation (also helps you 💩). Low levels are linked to increased irritability and restlessness. Vitamin C: Supports dopamine production. It’s also an antioxidant that protects the brain from stress. Be careful when taking with certain medications as they change the acidity of the stomach and just EAT them up making them less effective.
- I don’t know if this article about ADHD interests anyone but me, but in case it does…here you go!
- Is ADHD and hypermobility linked?? Research shows that individuals with ADHD are roughly four times more likely to have generalized joint hypermobility than those without ADHD. Now again that an association and not causation but I can tell you this is something I see frequently and definitely experience myself. Who else is in the bendy crew?? Here’s the article: Glans M, Thelin N, Humble MB, Elwin M, Bejerot S. Association between adult attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and generalised joint hypermobility: A cross-sectional case control comparison. J Psychiatr Res. 2021 Nov;143:334-340. doi: 10.1016/j.jpsychires.2021.07.006. Epub 2021 Jul 5. PMID: 34560594.
- I know grief comes in waves but it always comes in moments that I want to celebrate. I wasn’t really ready for that.
- When it comes to insight with ADHD: This was 10/10.
- What is it? What’s the hardest part about having ADHD as a woman?
- When I was diagnosed with ADHD, we had far less language around neurodivergence. But now, I see parents facing the opposite problem: there is so much information that it becomes hard to know what to trust. Parents are getting advice from teachers, relatives, friends, social media, AI, and sometimes even clinicians who do not fully understand neurodivergence. And you know what? That's a lot. It's a lot to go through and it's hard to know what's right. That is why trusted information matters. Understood.org is a nonprofit resource for parents of neurodivergent kids, with expert-backed, research-informed guidance and nothing to sell. I generally provide this as a resource for my patients just because it is a great place to start. So if you're looking for expert-backed parenting guidance, visit the link in my bio! #UnderstoodPartner #LessNoiseMoreUnderstood
- This is literally a PSA for people who can’t sleep with ADHD. If this is you, let me know. If this is NOT you, then wtf is your secret?
- Who is in this group? Seriously asking! #adhd #highachievingwomen
- Hey Kareem agree with you and LOVE THAT WERE TALKING ABOUT EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY ON @SubwayTakes Is the world too sensitive?? I want your honest take…
- So we’ve talked about this before but it’s being picked up again by more outlets. Basically we need to focus on the fact that ADHD IS MORE THAN JUST FOCUS. That’s part of why I wrote Too Sensitive. Being able to talk about ADHD through the lens of the emotional processing finally gives me the whole comprehensive picture of what ADHD actually is. Because you know what we can’t keep doing in 2026? We can’t keep slapping people with anxiety and depression meds and refusing care for ADHD. WE GOTTA LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE. #adhd #emotionaldysregulation
- To all my people with ADHD: if you’ve ever said im so bored I can’t keep my eyes open, this may be why…
- Anyway. If you have ADHD and want to learn about the emotional side of it, please pick up the signed copy at the McNally books in LGA terminal B. It has my love, sweat and possibly some of my blood from picking up glass shards.
- Looking at Princess Diana's story I see so many things that should have been intervened on. Sadly the one that I feel probably had the greatest impact on her overall life and happiness was this constant crushing criticism from paparazzi and the public. For someone who has rejection sensitive dysphoria, this isn't just unpleasant this feels debilitating. My hope is that as we learn more we start to really key in on the VITAL IMPORTANCE of including the emotional side of ADHD into its understanding of the condition. For any of you who want to learn more about that, Too Sensitive will walk you through step by step, starting from how we all ignored the emotional side for so long and ending with how to better equip you with tools to walk through this world of emotional sensitivity.
- ADHD breaking news!! A medication with a brand new mechanism to aid ADHD symptoms? Similar mechanism that they use for sleep/narcolepsy agents?? Anyone else nerding out??
- Coming at you live from a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION with breaking news about ADHD medication and sleep. Have you ever dealt with this? Where you felt like it wasn’t working at all??
- We're talking about people with ADHD being 3-4 times more likely to have PMDD. THAT FEELS UNFAIR.
- IF YOU HAVE ADHD AND STOMACH PROBLEMS: press all the buttons. Watch it, save it, share it bc spoiler alert: this is talking about YOU! This was published in the Journal of Attention Disorders.
- Also I got rained on and my hair is a puff but ignore that part. I used foundation and that charlotte tilbury highlighter in the gold bottle. But maybe it’s not for me.
- Emotional dysregulation is part of ADHD. Full stop. And for those of you who have felt like it may be one of the biggest parts of their ADHD (🙋🏾♀️), then please please please read Too Sensitive. You will feel so heard and strengthened!
- I would also buy full sticker books and never take them off the page. Is this a universal experience or have I hit my target ADHD anxiety demographic??
- To be totally honest (and I hope this doesn’t sound so ungrateful), this book promotion process has been so hard. I don’t think I have the emotional stamina and when I would get any sort of negative feedback it would rattle me to the point where I’d want to go home. But YESTERDAY. Yesterday I got to talk with my kids in the front row and I’ve never been more proud. Getting to share this moment with them felt like the greatest gift I have been given.
