- Start of Year Fridge clean out: mussels edition! These took less than 15 minutes to come together (: The sauce was a simple mix of black bean paste, Gochujang, and chili crisp, with hot water to loosen everything up. I need to start keeping mussels in my freezer all the time, because these were fantastic! #cooking #seafood #mussels #asmr
- MORE HOT POT IN THE NEW YEAR 🗣️🗣️🗣️ manifesting more communal dining, more cooking at home, more SOUP than ever!! I like eating hot pot at home more than restaurants these days, which is saying something! As long as I have a mountain of vegetables and my imitation crab, I’ll be a happy camper. #hotpot #food #prep #cooking #asianfood
- Hand pulled noodles are much easier to make than you think! Make ‘em in batches, and then add whatever sauce you want to them!! I used to be really intimidated by making & cooking up my own noodles, but even the “messed up” ones turn out a lot yummier than store bought dehydrated noods! If you’re living in a cold climate, it’s important to use warm water. It’ll affect the overall texture of your noodles (: Happy noodle eating! #recipe #food #noodles #asian #cooking
- I was missing California, so I decided to cook up some @Pepper Lunch ! If you’re not familiar, pepper lunch is a sizzling hot plate chain. I lived right next to one in Berkeley, and went on opening day. I have a lot of nostalgia for that time in our lives, and decided to revisit it through this little recipe. The sauce is key, and I eyeballed mine, but it still came out delicious! I added soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, ponzu, and chili crisp. It was *chef’s kiss* 😘 #recipe #food #pepperlunch #cooking
- My take on Banh mi chao!! This was so easy to make and was absolutely scrumptious. Tomatoes and eggs are always the best combination, and when you add fish as a protein too, you have an all around banger ;) La Sirena is the brand of canned fish I use! Try cooking this up yourself at home! It’s so simple, you can’t mess it up. (: #recipe #food #cooking #vietfood
- Hot pot on a snowy day… there are few things better! What are your favorite hot pot ingredients? I love the veggies, fish balls stuffed with pork, and imitation crab hehe I hope your new year is treating you kindly, and that you’ve already eaten something delicious today. If not, go get yourself something yummy to eat now!! Ingredients bought from @Weee Asian Supermarket #food #hotpot #prep #asianfood
- Last home cooked meal of the year! Hand pulled noodles!! These are SO easy to make at home, and taste exceptionally good (‘: low effort, high pay off meal imo. Cass said it was one of their favorite meals I’ve cooked! I threw random stuff together for the sauce. Some ground beef & peanut butter mixed with that oil mixture I made. Once it’s all tossed together, it’s a divine flavor bomb!! #food #noodles #recipe #asianfood #cooking
- Fried fish always reminds me of my childhood. These silver pomfret are the perfect little fish to fry up! The whole meal comes together so quickly, and it’s wonderful with white rice. The bones are tiny, but easy to avoid if you’re scared to eat them. Pour some sauce over them for extra flavor and you have yourself a quick delicious meal! Seasonings from @Josu Salts and @FLY BY JING Pomfret bought from @Weee Asian Supermarket #recipe #fish #frying #food
- TIS THE SEASON TO MAKE KIMCHI!!! I let the cabbage ferment for 5 days after we marinated it, and it’s 💋💋💋 chef’s kiss! Can’t wait to cook up a super sour jjigae in a couple of months (: I need to gather all my friends and have them bring their own cabbage and we can all make dozens of pounds of kimchi together hehe #kimchi #food #koreanfood
- Instead of traditional gifts, we’re forming our own little holiday traditions! And later we’ll be baking a whole fish and making cinnamon rolls hehe @Brookline Booksmith I love u so much!!! Everyone go to your local independent bookshops for the holidays!! (: maybe this will be our new tradition every year!
- Everything I Ate at the F1 Bar & Arcade in Boston! I wish I had a wagyu slider right now 🤤 Got to treat all my precious PhD friends to some food, drinks, and racing!! It was my first time in the seaport area and apparently it’s the fanciest place in Boston? Crazy experience!! Thank you to F1 for inviting me and treating all my cutie friends (: #f1 #boston #everythingiate
- GRWM for the F1 bar and arcade in Boston! Hehehe I’m embracing my inner emo goth teenager with my all black outfits Also without my heat tech, I’d be nothing… Shoes @Nike tabis (: Twin cherries keychain from @POP MART US #grwm #F1 @F1 Arcade USA
- Two gays making kimchi 🥬 I’ve been letting the kimchi ferment for the past three days, nibbling at it to taste, and it’s fantastic! It tastes even better because I made it with a friend (: We bought our Napa cabbage from @Weee Asian Supermarket and got drastically varying sizes, hahaha. Also, as a self-proclaimed @princess munch, the song felt apt, but I’ll post just the ASMR version soon too since the sound of cabbage tearing is just so satisfying to hear! #kimchi #food #recipe #asmr
- Why eat a big whole fried fish when you can eat a couple cute little fried ones instead?! These small silver pomfret were the perfect thing to fry up, and with the chili sauce poured over it, my belly was very happy (‘: The cook time on these little fish are SO short because they’re so tiny! the smallest pomfret just need 1 minute in the oil, deep fried, on each side. And then they’re ready to eat!! Seasonings @Josu Salts and @FLY BY JING Fish from @Weee Asian Supermarket Cast iron from @TJ Maxx (shout out to my maxxinastas hehe) #food #fish #recipe #cooking
- Canned Fish brings me right back to my childhood. I don’t eat nearly enough fish, and I wanna change that with the new year. I plan to eat more seafood (especially fish) than ever in 2026!! This is a b*stardized banh mi chao recipe, and I just used whatever I had on hand! It was absolutely delicious! #recipe #fish #tilapia #food
- GRWM!! Channeling my inner princess of darkness in this outfit! I was able to walk 2 miles in snowy Boston with ease in my puffer hehe (‘: Top from @Shopee Việt Nam Skirt and puffer from @GU USA Heat tech @UNIQLO USA Bunny hat @LOVERBOY Bag from a vintage shop in Italy Frog crybaby keychain from @POP MART US
- I LUV MY NAIL TECH!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️ 📍@MiniLuxe Brookline never disappoints! I told her I wanted “cybersigilism Christmas baddie nails” and she didn’t just SERVE, she over delivered!! #christmasnails #boston #nailart
- Air fried tilapia reminds me of the deep fried fish my family would eat at least once a week! Baking/airfrying times and temps differ depending on how much your tilapia weighs. For smaller fish, less time, for larger fish, at least 20 mins. It cooks faster than you think, and as long as it’s an internal temp of 175, it’s safe to eat. Garlic oil from @Brightland Seasonings I used: @Josu Salts all purpose umami salt @FLY BY JING mala spice @HexClad salt grinder #recipe #fish #cooking #airfryer #food
- Cooking and eating homemade chicken pho (Phở gà) after two weeks of engorging myself on bread and pasta in Europe… my body can now return to homeostasis. The bubonic plague (aka the common cold) has almost left my body now and I single handedly think it’s because of how delicious this pho was. I can’t even order phở gà from local restaurants anymore because it just doesn’t hit as hard as this homemade version. With just a couple of staple Asian-American ingredients, you can make a batch of soup for you and/or your loved ones too! (: Eat well and stay healthy this flu season, my cuties! #recipe #asian #vietnamese #pho
- Everything I ate in Italy!! I was able to try so many new desserts, like zuppa inglese?! I’d never even heard of this dish, yet it somehow tastes so familiar. I love how fresh everything tasted in Italy, and I’m so grateful for everything I got to try! This is the last video of this Europe trip. Thanks for eating across the world with me (: #food #italy #whatieat
- DUBLIN, HERE I COME! #DeltaPartner It was such a privilege to experience the wonder of the Delta One lounge and the luxurious lie-flat seats… From the memory foam pillow to the duvet, not to mention the in-flight wifi. With @delta offering more than 70 nonstop flights from Boston, a girl can’t ask for much more!! Thank you for partnering with little ol’ me, Delta! What a dream come true.
- 📍Trattoria di Via Serra, Bologna, Italy From the hand rolled tortellini and tagliatelle Ragu, to the pork cheek and guinea fowl… this meal was an Italian dream from start to finish. The portions were hearty and filling, without breaking the bank. What a special dining experience! (: I’m grateful to the waitress who recommended this place to me the night before. #bologna #restaurantreview #foodrecommendations #travel #italy
- Every Pasta I Ate in Italy!! From tortelloni… to boar ragu… to a pear stuffed ravioli?! I had so many new pasta flavor combinations, and I’m a much deeper appreciation for Italian food culture now. The fresh ingredients and heart in each meal was incredible to taste! My bloodstream, brain cells, and heart valves are all made of pasta now. I may never return to normal and that’s ok 🤰 Spinach Tortelloni from Via Con Me in Bologna Ragu & tortellini from “Trattoria Di Via Serra” in Bologna #food #pasta #italy #whatiate
- Everything I Ate in Budapest! This was the loveliest country with the kindest people, and absolutely delicious food. I hope I get to travel more of Hungary one day, but even if not, I’m super happy and satisfied with all the food I got to try 🥰 📍Parasztkonyha for the best service and a taste of traditional, comforting Hungarian food 📍@Dobrumba Budapest the hummus was *chef’s kiss* #food #whatiate #travel #hungary #budapest
