Cooking for Shark Tank… and I almost blew the deal 😱 TLDR: I usually have a hard time trusting brands. Most products feel like they're built to break or designed to keep you addicted. But these sprouting kits are one of the most genuinely good products l've seen, and they can actually help people live longer, healthier lives. I met Doug Evans, CEO of The Sprouting Company, before the sprouting kits were even on the market. I tried sprouting and in just 5 days I grew broccoli sprouts — it was a life-changing moment. It's honestly easier than brewing coffee. l asked Doug if I could help with the business, and for the last 2 years l've worked with him on recipes, photography, content, a cookbook, and eventually cooking for this Shark Tank episode. #thesproutingcompany #sharktank #broccolisprouts #sprouts #vegan

Freeze Dried Ketchup 🤢 Eat or pass? If it’s anything like the dehydrated ketchup leather I did, then I’m going to be gagging in pt.2, check back tomorrow. Freeze Dryer vs. Dehydrator: A freeze-dryer works by freezing the food and then creating a vacuum to pull the moisture out. A dehydrator uses low heat and a fan to evaporate moisture. Freeze-drying can make foods light, brittle, and highly concentrated. Dehydrating usually makes a denser, leather-like texture. Both usually keep the flavor. Some backstory; that dehydrated ketchup video is one of the first videos I made where I tried dehydrating an unconventional food in response to someone’s comments. It started an entire series that I’ve been doing ever since. It’s helped me find a lot of new textures and food combinations that I would never expect to be good that I actually use in my private chef business. #freezedried #harvestright #backpacking #ketchup best foods to freeze dry
