Vegan RecipesFreeze Dried Ketchup 🤢 Eat or pass? If it’s anything like the dehydrated ketchup leather I did, then I’m going to be gagging in pt.2, check back tomorrow. Freeze Dryer vs. Dehydrator: A freeze-dryer works by freezing the food and then creating a vacuum to pull the moisture out. A dehydrator uses low heat and a fan to evaporate moisture. Freeze-drying can make foods light, brittle, and highly concentrated. Dehydrating usually makes a denser, leather-like texture. Both usually keep the flavor. Some backstory; that dehydrated ketchup video is one of the first videos I made where I tried dehydrating an unconventional food in response to someone’s comments. It started an entire series that I’ve been doing ever since. It’s helped me find a lot of new textures and food combinations that I would never expect to be good that I actually use in my private chef business. #freezedried #harvestright #backpacking #ketchup best foods to freeze dry
