Lying about AI to make a point #deadinternettheory #aislop #philosophy#1984edit #bigbrotheredit The page @Big Brother posted a video about survivorship bias and AI detection. I think this is a real problem, but using a real video and lying about it doesn’t help anyone. AI videos are very realistic now, but misrepresenting them is also harmful and causes unnecessary stress. It’s important to have reasonable skepticism about new content you find online, but not to unnecessarily lose faith in real content. Follow for more real vs. AI video spotting tips.

How to prove simple videos are AI #accident #funny #ai #chatgpt #foryou This video of a woman and a man falling down an open manhole doesn’t give you much to work with at first. But if you think about the unrealistic scenario and start looking closer from there, this is clearly an AI video. Follow for more AI vs real video spotting tips.
They’re using AI and lying about it. This page uses AI videos for “punch lines” and seems to say it’s CGI or VFX work, but they clearly use AI videos. They would probably say they’re just trolling, but a lot of their commenters defend it. I don’t recommend their stuff. #aivideo #cgi #chatgpt #foryou
AI videos of political candidates #ai #news #chatgpt #politics #aivideo Some cringe AI photos and videos with the likeness of Senate Candidate James Talarico from Texas were shared by Ken Paxton and a Republican PAC, causing some concern on the left. I think these images are a problem, but we should basically respond by calling them cringe. The general public and swing voters probably agree - they don’t like AI videos either.
The aging dog photos are AI #dogs #animals #timelapse #funny #foryou A lot of timelapse and aging posts today are AI photos or AI videos, made by creating one AI photo then telling an AI generator to age it some number of years. This content is so easy to make, but it still gets views, so expect it to continue. Follow for more real vs. AI spotting tips.
The problem with AI nature videos #wildlife #nature #birds #animals #foryou This AI video pretends to show a black rhinoceros and a red billed oxpecker. AI videos of things we see everyday are easier to spot, and that’s a problem for videos that appear to be educational but are actually AI. As AI nature videos become more prominent the real ones are crowded out. Follow for more AI vs Real video spotting tips.
Could you build an adblocker for AI? #ai #chatgpt #aivideo #foryou In response to my video yesterday, there were a lot of comments about how ad blockers have worked for so long, so why couldn’t an AI blocker? AI videos, AI photos, even AI text can be hard to detect. Ad blockers are relatively straightforward.
Why hasn’t anyone built an AI blocker? #ai #aivideo #chatgpt Responding to @Marcus C. Why doesn’t someone develop an AI blocker right now? Privacy concerns, scale, and reliability are the three most daunting tasks, and that’s before cyber security and trust issues start. AI detection and blocking AI videos or photos usually requires AI systems, or centralized watermarking or metadata. I’m sure someone will try, but I doubt it will work in the next couple of years. AI characters with disabilities are trending #smallbusiness #handemade #ai #scam There has been a rise in AI-generated scam videos featuring fake characters with disabilities. Many of these videos portray characters with Down syndrome. Scammers use this tactic to appeal to viewers' sympathy and encourage them to buy their products. The videos often incorporate stolen content from real creators and actually sell low-quality products or, in some cases, products that do not exist at all.
Are AI videos with real people OK? #aivideo #mentalhealth #womenshealth #foryou #response The Mama Graves account reached out to me and thinks what I said is unfair. Does it matter if the AI character is based on a real person, or do AI videos have too many other issues to justify their use regardless of identity concerns? I think AI labelling and transparency should be taken seriously.
Deepfaking celebrities to sell t-shirts #fashion #mensfashion #designer #celebrity #ai Paparrazzi-style celebrity photos are really easy to create with AI. These oversized acid-washed stretchy t-shirts are a common TikTok Shop item, but putting the oversized tees on celebrities isn’t the right way to advertise. Here are some of these AI image giveaways. YouTube's AI remix is a slop generator. After OpenAI shut down Sora, YouTube's AI remix feature is really baffling. It allows users to generate short AI videos from YouTube shorts. But the video models aren't very good and the output videos are incredibly sloppy. A lot of real creators are pushing back. Even if the videos were better, the feature would still be unnecessary.
How to spot AI accounts #personalfinance #moneymanagement #ai #investing #foryou A troubling trend is AI-generated rich characters that give awful financial advice through cultural stereotypes. To spot these AI accounts, look for page transparency information, patterns across multiple videos, and scam websites. Follow for more AI vs real video spotting tips.
Why AI "grandmothers" are not wise #mentalhealth #womenshealth #parenting #healing #aivideo This black grandmother character called Mama Graves is AI-generated. The persona borrows from real women without earning it, and without that persona the words would be empty. The channel uses AI generated videos, scripts, captions, music, and voice models. These are the trickiest AI accounts to discuss because many feel inclined to defend them, but I think they’re really manipulative. Follow for more AI vs real video spotting tips.
My favorite AI video giveaway #ai #music #medialiteracy #tech #funny The way AI videos sound feels off because they don’t exist in a physical space, don’t have training data of many scenarios, and their synthetic sound isn’t quite right. My favorite mistake is when the “microphone” placement doesn’t make sense, or sounds teleport across spaces or through objects. Follow for more coverage on AI videos and media literacy.
Google’s new AI detection tools #medialiteracy #ai #technews #google #announcement At Google I/O 2026, Google announced their new AI Search feature and their goal to to make AI detection as simple as adding a image into a search bar. But with their reliance on SynthID, which isn’t widely utilized outside of Gemini generations, this might not be trickier than they think.
Does posting videos help AI? #aivideo #aiphoto #medialiteracy #technews #tech Social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and more publicly state that they train their generative AI models on the public content on their platforms. This makes people question if they should post at all. This is a personal decision, but here's why I keep creating anyway, and how it changes what I post about.
This AI video lost the “competition” #NFL #football #SportsNews #ai #foryou The NFL schedule release video loser was definitely the Arizona Cardinals, who were widely panned for a boring and strange video featuring AI-generated avatars of NFL mascots. Other teams used real videos, animations, even video game renders. This is a rare opportunity to directly compare AI vs real videos by public opinion.
Not using AI is normal, actually #football #nfl #sports #news #aivideo NFL teams released fun, AI-free schedule announcement videos.
