- We’ve been at Sephora since the launch of Glow Recipe in 2017 and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sephora do this 😆 I can’t believe our “Top Secret Mucin” is already on the site. We tried hundreds of submissions to get to this special mucin- it’s bouncy, stretchy and SO good. Can’t wait to share more (including what it actually looks like 😅) soon! #koreanskincare #koreaskincareroutine #mucin #snailmucin #skincareproducts #greenscreenvideo @Glow Recipe @sephora
- 9There’s so much more 🍵 too.…should we make this a series? 😂 Btw, Sarah and I will be hosting Korean skincare masterclasses throughout this summer so stay tuned for more info! #koreanskincare #femalefounder #entrepreneur #founderstory #sephora #glowrecipe #koreanskincareproducts #koreanbeauty #sharktank

- 4I’m often asked what my favorite Glow products are. While it’s always hard to choose just one, these are a few products that are a *little* more under the radar then Dew Drops and Pore Tight Toner that I find myself reaching for every single day. #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #koreanskincareroutine #skincareroutine #gentlecleanser #moisturizer #koreanbeauty @Glow Recipe
- I love a good toner pad but I also love my toners. Over the years I’ve soaked many a cotton round with toner to mini mask but they’d never stay on. You might have seen a sneak peek of these from our recent LA masterclass but obsessed with this ultra thin, dry toner pad material which you can soak with your toner of choice. Naturally had to use @Glow Recipe Watermelon Pore Toner for mini masking as the inspiration behind this toner is a literally a facial - our go-to aqua peel pore facial in Korea (refines pores and hydrates skin all at once) 💧 #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #koreanskincareroutine #tonerpads #toner #tonerpad #skinflooding
- 10We never thought we’d actually make it on the show but when we did, it truly was a lifechanging experience. Not only did our site go down from the traffic, it opened up what we were trying to do - educate on the skincare rituala and tips we grew up with - to a whole new audience. I still remember heading down to our small Brooklyn warehouse in December and packing and handwriting notes until our hands went numb. Can’t believe it’s already been 10 years since the airing! #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #koreanbeauty #sharktank #entrepreneur #femalefounder #founderstory @Glow Recipe

- The best hacks from our @IPSY x @Glow Recipe Korean skincare masterclass in LA ⭐️ 1+1 cleanse: Oil cleanse for 1 full minute to remove makeup & spf (fully emulsify and rinse after) and foam cleanse for 1 full minute - you’ll see a huge difference in pores and congestion with consistency ⭐️ 3 skin method: Flood skin with hydration early in the routine with a toner - with proper cleansing a toner should be your first leave on step of treatment, not a second step of cleansing. ⭐️ DIY Toner Pads: Soak dry pads with a toner (choose one that is alcohol free and has hydrating and refining ingredients) for a DIY mini masking experience. Stay tuned for ultra thin dry toner pads that are perfect for this, dropping soon! ⭐️ Eye cream before serum: Most serums are not opthalmologist tested - buffer the delicate eye area with a formula that is. And apply 360 along the orbital bone- eye lids need skincare too! ⭐️ Serum Wardrobing: Serums are meant to target your primary concern so if needed you can layer multiple serums with different ingredients that your skin needs. Layer from thinnest to thickest. ⭐️ Ditch the towel: The small habits make a difference for break outs. Pat skin dry after cleansing vs rub w a towel that may not be 100% clean, keep your phone, pillow case, eye mask clean. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments! #skincareroutine #skincaretips #ipsy #masterclass #koreanskincare #koreanskincareroutine #koreanskincareproducts #skinflooding #tonerpad #glowrecipe
- 10Sarah and I decided to start Glow Recipe as long time friends, after a post-work wine and sheetmasking session. We wanted to create a brand that captured the magic of Korean skincare we learned from our mothers and grandmothers. At the time, Korean beauty was often misunderstood, reduced to “10-step routines” or “exotic” ingredients. But we knew there was so much more to share: the rituals, the textures, the deep skin-first philosophy. We bootstrapped everything, packing orders by hand and cold-emailing editors, growing the business in a way that felt intentional and sustainable. And we went against the grain a lot. We chose to spotlight indie brands doing incredible things instead of leaning on big names. We kept making educational content because we believed Korean skincare was more than just product, it was about approach, mindset, and joy. When it came time to launch our own line, the one you see in Sephora today, we took our time. We worked with our labs in Korea, to create formulas from scratch that were both effective and sensorial. It hasn’t always been easy, but building something from the ground up and seeing it embraced by our global community? That’s been the glow of a lifetime ❤️ #entrepreneur #startup #founderstory #femalefounder #sharktank #koreanskincare @Glow Recipe ib: @Rebecca Minkoff

- Maximize your moisturizer: Korean skincare edition. Whether you like to keep things simple or are on the road with a pared down kit, I wanted to share a skincare hack to do more with less. Apply your moisturizer in small amounts across multiple steps, patting each time to help with absorption. This helps to ‘force feed’ skin with hydration, keeping it plump for longer. While my go to is still to use toner, serum and moisturizer, I’ll do this easy technique in a pinch and I always find my skin stays hydrated for much longer. Product used: @Glow Recipe Plum Plump Cream with hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acid. #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #koreanskincareroutine #koreanbeauty #moisturizer #hyaluronicacid #skincaretips
- How to “Mist Sandwich” ⭐️ In the summer, I find myself going for simpler routines and less skincare layers but I also find my skin gets dehydrated faster - this is where mist sandwiching comes in. ⭐️ Mist sandwiching aka using facial spray in between each skin step, can help lock in hydration for longer. ⭐️ Misting doesn’t ‘dilute’ your skincare - if anything having damp skin helps w efficient product absorption. The only time I wait to spritz is after SPF to give the formula time to set. ⭐️ When I skip my morning cleanse, I’ll reset my skin with misting to rehydrate the skin. Using the @Glow Recipe Watermelon Hydration Mist - super soothing and mists like a ultra fine ‘fog’ 🌧️ #koreanskincare #koreanbeauty #skincaretips #skincarehacks #facemist #glowingskin #koreanskincareroutine

- Because you deserve it all. That’s usually my answer to the question, why we created @Glow Recipe . That you don’t have to choose between clinical efficicacy and sensoriality, that serious products didn’t have to take themselves so seriously but could feel good on skin, be approachable and enjoyable. We often laughingly draw parallels to ‘Legally Blonde’ where you can both wear pink and ace it as a Harvard-trained lawyer, your products can deliver packaging that sparks joy with results- all without compromise ❤️ Clip from the recent WWD Beauty & Fashion Summit #founderstory #femalefounder #entrepreneur #glowrecipe #koreaskincare #koreanbeauty #skincareproducts
- How I reapply SPF: ⭐️ On most days, I try to skip foundation so I can easily reapply SPF through out the day - though once every two hours is recommended, realistically I’ll do a refresh after lunch or before taking a walk outside after work. ⭐️On makeup days, I’ll gently apply sunscreen on top of makeup by pressing in with hands or a beauty blender. I like milky, super spreadable textures for this - it’ll inevitably transfer a little but I believe spf consistency over time has been one of the top reasons for evening out my hyperpigmentation over time. ⭐️ Everytime you reapply, don’t forget the neck, backs of hands, top of ears * featuring @Glow Recipe dew balm spf 45 which I like to apply all over face & neck and lips ✨ #spf #sunscreen #reapplysunscreen #skincareroutine #skincaretips #spfmakeup #summerskincare
- It was an incredible experience to see active haenyeo (해녀), Jeju’s female deep sea divers today - I’ve always been inspired by these courageous women who braved the seas without diving equipment to feed their families and communities. Recently haenyeo was featured on the show ‘When Life Gives you Tangerines’ 🍊 but I’d recommend watching the documentary ‘The Last of the Sea Women’ for a more indepth look into their culture and history. The haenyeo performance takes place at 2pm daily @ Seongsan, Jeju Island #koreatravel #jejuisland #jeju #haenyeo #koreandrama #whenlifegivesyoutangerines
- My best tips for the doing the ‘60 second cleanse’ #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #koreanbeauty #skincareroutine #skincaretips #glowrecipe
- #momlife
- Skincare tips I live by in my 40s: ⭐️ If you can’t double cleanse - at least try to do a full 60 seconds of foam cleansing nightly and wash off with water vs a wash cloth - it makes a huge difference with pores & blackheads ⭐️ Ditch the towel (which are hard to keep clean) - pat cleansed skin dry with fingers until damp, then go straight into toner. Just like a damp sponge soaking up more than a dry, hard sponge, skin is the same way. ⭐️ Toners are the first step of your leave on routine, not a second step of cleansing. Choose formulas that are hydrating & free of drying alcohols (like Glow Recipe WM Toner - my daily go to ❤️) ⭐️ A favorite Korean application method is ‘7 skin method’ or ‘3 skin method’ - layering toner multiple times to ‘flood’ skin - I do this almost daily in the PM. ⭐️ Serums can be layered depending on your concern - but it really depends on how your skin feels. There’s no one size fits all and there’s no magic bullet except consistency over time. ⭐️ One of the key Korean skincare approaches is to prioritize prevention over repair. Start building up your skin barrier now with a gentle approach and plenty of hydration - overly harsh treatments can actually exacerbate hyperpigmentation and texture over time. ⭐️ SPF always. On most days I try to avoid heavy makeup so I can reapply sunscreen mid day and this has done wonders for my discoloration. ⭐️ Environment matters- clean cellphone, laptop, pillowcase, hair #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #skincareroutine #skincaretips #glowhacks #skincareover40 #glowrecipe
- 11 years of building Glow Recipe - an experience beyond my wildest dreams. I’m thankful to be able to share the meaningful rituals passed down to us by our moms and grandmothers growing up in Korea. Grateful that we get to create products that are both clinically effective and sensorial, that have unique textures and packaging that give a little moment of joy. And I always count myself lucky to have my cofounder Sarah, our team and our incredible community ❤️ #holyairball #entrepreneur #femalefounder #koreanskincare #glowrecipe #entrepreneurlife @Glow Recipe
- Answering all of your questions about Pink Juice Moistuizer ⭐️ Pink Juice is our 3rd ever product and we wanted formulate a lightweight, oil free ‘skin drink’ ⭐️ Most people are surprised when I share that it’s 80%+ watermelon extract (one of our favorite soothing ingredients) plus has glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, plant proteins ⭐️ Use AM & PM as your moisturizer. Because of the concentration of ingredients I also love using it as a ‘essence’ ⭐️ We’re excited that all of our moisturizers including pink juice are now refillable - we chose this for this year’s limited edition celebrating Pride so you can use the rainbow jar forever ❤️ #koreanskincare #koreanskincareproducts #moisturizers #glowrecipe #pridemonth @Glow Recipe #skincareroutine
- Bingsoo was one of our favorites desserts to eat in the summers in Korea - it was much simpler back then: roughly shaven ice, a little red bean drizzled with condensed milk, maybe a powdering of job’s tears on top. Now I’m perpetually amazed by how good bingsoos are in Seoul. We purposely named all the different glass balm ‘bingsoo’ to capture this memory of sweet, hydrating, delicious moments and it means so much that y’all have been loving it too and wanting to try bingsoo ❤️ #bingsoo #bingsu #koreandessert #traveltok #seoullife #lipbalm #koreanskincare #koreanfood
