- Let me know if you want a video on all of my top tips for reducing damage while blow drying! These are just 2 of the many that I think about in order to blow dry 3x a week without majorly sacrificing my hair health. #healthyhair #longhair #haircaretips
- Full details on temperatures everyone should be aware of when using heat on both wet and dry hair (including my top tips for reducing damage while using heat on your haircare journey) are in my most recent video on YT! #hairdamage #damagedhair #healthyhair #hairtips
- As a very tall person on a constant healthy hair / length retention journey… I think about this all the time 😭 #hairgrowth #longhair #hairjourney
- #OGXPartner Wait... have you ever noticed that @OGX Beauty makes some of the best haircare products of all time? Here's a 4 step routine with some of my all time favorites: 1. OGX® Damage Remedy + Coconut Miracle Oil (I use as a pre-shampoo oil treatment) 2. OGX® Pro-Growth + Peptide Shampoo 3. OGX® Bond Protein Repair 1-Minute Treatment Mask 4. OGX® Bond Protein Repair Heat Protect Spray You have to try this lineup and let me know what you think... I'm obsessed with the results every time! #OGXperience
- My hair is freshly blow dried without no other styling in all of these clips… the only difference between them is the products I used in the shower that day. Even if you have healthy hair, the wrong products can completely ruin your wash day results… but if your hair is damaged, it can just make those issues even worse! My updated haircare favorites and step by step routine is pinned first on my page 💗 #hairtips #hairjourney #healthyhairjourney
- 22It’s been over a year since I first posted this routine… Since then, original recommendations have been discontinued, new launches have turned into new favorites, and I’ve personally started prioritizing scalp care in an even bigger way than I was before. So while a lot has stayed the same, parts of this haircare routine have been updated to reflect those changes! Remember: this routine isn’t a set of 12 steps that you *have* to follow. It’s a list of options that you can pick and choose from depending on what your scalp & hair needs are. If you need more help figuring out how to put a routine together with products that will work the best for you, check out my Abbey Yung Method Playlist 💗 #abbeyyungmethod #haircareroutine #hairroutine #washdayroutine
- As promised… the updated Abbey Yung Method! The biggest change since I first posted this haircare routine about a year and a half ago is that I’ve started focusing on scalp health in an even bigger way that I did before. That’s why I added scalp health shampoos and scalp serums to this lineup. But other than that, not a lot has changed! The overall framework and reason for doing each step is the same, just updated to reflect discontinued products and a few new favorites. My plan moving forward is to continue staying up to date on research and changes in the industry, learning as much as possible from brands on new launches, testing new products, and updating this routine as needed about once every 1-1.5 years (while bringing you along for every step of that process throughout the year of course). My goal has always been to help you all build haircare routines with products that give you incredible results… so as new technology and research continues to emerge, this routine will continue to evolve! #abbeyyungmethod #haircareroutine #hairroutine #washdayroutine
- Answering all of the questions you had about my co-creation with Pantene! The new Deep Nourishing Cream to Mist Leave In 🥰 #pantene #drugstorebeauty #drugstore #hair
- Not realizing this when I had severe damage was SUCH a miss. I was causing so much breakage without realizing I had an easy way to prevent it… applying more product! So now, instead of just spraying my leave-in a few times around the outside of my hair and leaving the rest completely neglected, I spray it in 3-4 sections on each side of my head. Finding a leave in that allows you to cover as much hair as possible is key, because it’s the only way to ensure you’re getting that protection applied as evenly as possible! That’s why I think all in 1 sprays are the best possible kind of product for this. If you’re using the right one, it can protect against heat, damage & breakage all in 1. Leave-In used here is the new Deep Nourishing Cream to Mist Leave-In That I co-created with Pantene! Because it has all of those benefits and even more 💖 #hairtips #healthyhair #haircaretips
- No sugar coating over here because the whole point is to help you figure out what is actually worth your hard earned money!! Swatches, application footage & wear tests are all in last weeks upload on my YT channel! 💗 let me know what you want me to test for the next drugstore pass or repurchase! #beautyreviews #beautyreview #drugstore #drugstoremakeup
- Over a year later… it’s officially time for the updated Abbey Yung Method. So before I give you an overview of what it looks like, I wanted to share the new products I’ll be adding! #abbeyyungmethod #haircareroutine #haircareproducts #healthyhair
- How the new Deep Nourishing Cream to Mist Leave In that I co-created with Pantene compares to other product formats! Hopefully this visual helps to answer the questions I was seeing about that and just give you a better feel for what’s actually inside the bottle 😊 I’ll be filming a video answering all of your questions in the next couple days (just waiting to get a couple details confirmed from @Pantene first), so leave any other questions you have in the comments! I’ve already written a ton of them down to answer in that video. And in the meantime… thank you SO much for all the excitement and positivity for this new launch. I’m so overwhelmed by the response and am so grateful for this haircare loving community that we’ve built 💗 It is an absolute honor to create a product for you all and to be trusted with your hair 🥹 #pantene #haircare #deepnourishing #abbeyyungxpantene
- #PantenePartner IT'S HERE! The new Deep Nourishing Cream to Mist Leave-In that I co-created with @Pantene! I'm so honored and proud to be involved in the creation of a drugstore product that can do this much for our hair. It, of course, conditions, softens, smooths & improves manageability, but also... protects against heat up to 450 degrees, strengthens & repairs, prevents breakage, provides antioxidant protection, and protects against UV damage! Because you know I wasn't going to co-create a leave in unless it gave TONS of benefits all in 1! I love it so much and I can't wait to hear what you guys think!!! 😭😍 #abbeyyungxpantene #pantene #deepnourishing
- Finding the right conditioning products for your hair can make a HUGE difference in the results you get on wash day. If you find that your hair looks really dry and frazzled, gets tangled easily, is difficult to brush through, feels dry, stiff and brittle, gets knotted after blow drying, or feels heavy, greasy and weighed down… it’s time to find conditioning products that work better for you. These are all signs that your conditioner, hair mask, and/or leave-in conditioner are not the right fit and you can find products that will give you much better results! My favorites in all of these categories (that give me AMAZING results) are already on my page! 💗 #conditioner #washday #hairmask #haircareroutine
- 4 clues about the new hair product I’ll be announcing this Sunday… 3 days until I can give you allll the details!!! #haircare #hairtips #hairproducts #hairroutine
- #LivingProofPartner @Living Proof, Inc. has done it again... they're adding a new dry shampoo to their Perfect hair Day lineup and it's a Sheer Clean Dry Shampoo Mist that is completely weightless 😍 Seriously SO impressed with this. I can't wait to hear what you guys think when you try it!
- Any guesses?! Let the countdown begin!!! #haircare #healthyhair #hairjourney #healthyhairjourney
- Can the K18 Future IQ Hair Longevity Scalp Serum stop you from going gray forever? Not quite… I’ve seen your requests to review this since it first launched, but because of how complex this category is, I didn’t feel comfortable doing that with more information from K18 directly. In the meantime, I reached out to our favorite chemist over at theskincarebookshelf (on IG) to see what he was able to find out about the patents + specific ingredient complexes used. My call with the K18 science team confirmed everything he shared! I hope this helps to give you the information you need to figure out if this one is worth the $120 splurge for you or not. LMK which haircare product you want me to hunt down answers for next!! #k18 #hairloss #grayhair #scalpserum
- I’ve been researching this topic like crazy over the past few weeks because as you guys know… I style with heat twice a week. I wanted to see if any research existed on exact temperatures we should style our hair at or avoid, and there is! Learned a ton about this in a TRI Princeton lecture, and will definitely do a part 2 on wet styling temps next! #hairtips #hairstyling #haircaretips
- Yes, I apply a lot of conditioner, but it’s on purpose! I didn’t used to realize how much of my hair was not getting evenly coated, and conditioner until I started filming myself on wash day. That completely changed my conditioner application technique and I haven’t looked back since! Keep in mind that my hair is thick and very long, so you can, of course apply a lot less than this if your hair is shorter and thinner. It can take some playing around to figure out the exact right amount for you, but once you do, it can make a huge difference in your wash day results! #conditioner #washday #washdayroutine #haircareroutine
- @Madelyn and I have already been messaging about this, but hoping this information helps anyone else trying to figure out why their hair seems to be suddenly thinning or shedding right now! There are a lot of potential causes that aren’t widely known, so it can be really confusing to figure out. That’s why my #1 tip is setting up an appointment with your derm, so that you have all of the information you need to know to figure out what to do next! I know this is really stressful and upsetting to go through, so just know that so many forms of hair loss can be resolved without leading to permanent issues 💗 Sources: -PMID: 28613598 -DOI: https://doi.org/10.1159/000216832 #hairshedding #hairloss #hairgrowth #hairthinning
- To see the products I did not love enough to repurchase… full long form version is on my YT already 😊 #empties #emptiesreview #beautyreview #beautyreviews
- #OGXPartner Come with me to the #OGXperience to see how @OGX Beauty thinks about the full sensorial experience they’re giving us with their products! I’ve always known that OGX puts so much into the science behind their formulas, but seeing all of these different elements they think about for us on top of that like the sound, smell and feel of their products was amazing! It really took the products to the next level for me!
