- To much degeneracy being pedaled in my community by way of music. stick talk/ beef and getting the bag shouldn’t be the highlight of our culture . Where’s the pride at for the other contributions we have made within our community. each one teach one !! #jazzto#jazztokg#losangelest#musictokr#conversationso#foodforthoughti#helpkids

- My students are not looking for cost effective options when it comes to finding the horn of there dreams. My parents were never able to afford me any level of selmers outside of a Bundy II. My dad and I would go around pawn shops like no bodies bussiness finding me a horn. In a world like today , there are so many new and better options for horns for a fraction of the holy grail Mark Vi . We don’t need to keep trying chase it!! #elevate #fyp #saxlove #jazz #storytellingthroughmusic #saxophistsoftiktok #corgi #losangeles

- Magical nights in Los Angeles! I really needed music at this point in my life, my health was in terrible condition . Nothing like music to bring you out of some of your worst moments. This is one of my amazing friends Tyler Cole! His music is extremely special . He’s an incredible multi- hyphanated artist . We’ve been collating over the past decade. Greatful to always be in collab mode with him at any point in time . This was a special moment I’ll never forget !@Tyler Cole #fyp #jazztok #saxophone🎷 #laartist #losangeles #saxtok

- Not enough on Mary ! Spent over half of my life not hearing enough of this genius and her commitment to this art form.I’m shining a light on my heritage and spreading the message of this art form being transcendent not thru complexities but through stories and community . #greenscreen #fyp #jazztok #laartist #saxtok #laartist #jazzalbum

- What’s up with our kids not knowing the greatness of this art form and or these artist! “ you don’t know who John Coltrane is “ 🤦🏿♂️…. I’m currently soo frustrated at how the music curriculums are being handled in Los Angeles. Specifically in the inner city where I teach (south LA). There’s so many grants that are being awarded to non-local Non-profits that scam the community out of what these kids actually deserve , which is a real education in music. The NPOs and districts have no desire but to over- fill these class rooms up with all the bad apples of kids who are just there because they got kicked out of another class for behavior issues. These babies aren’t being taught anything of substance or heritage. ##jazztok##losangeles##fyp##musiciansoftiktok##saxophone🎷##saxtok##laartist

- Sometimes I’m in conversations with people that arent yet informed on the rich history that LA has with the art form. The people who went here paved the way for me so I have to let people know what they did and how great they were.#losangeleshistory#jazztok#musictok #fyp #losangeles
- one of My solo’s at the Del Monte Speakeasy in Los Angeles! The room was so electric that night , I felt invincible and wanted to share that energy with the audience jazz holds such a special place in the Los Angeles community. #jazztok #musictok #saxophone #fyp #laartist #music #musictok
- I was at my boiling Point right here. I had a bad day, and I came to my studio looking forward to washing it all away with some saxcrobatics. I decided to put this phrase in the most challenging part of the horn. The altissimo range is no joke for any saxophonist. It takes a unique set of discipline and complete kinesthasia of the Pharynx and the rest of the throat to be able to pull off the partial-ing between the false fingerings at a fast pace, and yes the keys I hit in that range are all made up and none of them actually produce the note I’m playing. More on that later 😂 . The day before I had it and was feeling good . , but today , different story. One of the most significant lessons I’ve learned on this journey is the power of simply showing up for myself. In those moments of frustration and self-doubt, I made a choice to keep picking up my sax and trying again. Each time I faced the music, I was investing in my growth, proving to myself that I was committed to my art, no matter how tough it got. it’s about embracing the process, the hard work, and the messy moments that come with it.anyway I wanted to share my vulnerability in hopes that it might reach someone to never ever give up #musictherapy #musiciansoftiktok #saxophone #jazztok #fyp #jazzlife #saxtok #laartist #jazzimprovisation
- In jazz, there are so many ways to approach the Canvas . What’s your paint brush of choice? Personally I love Bass chords a lot a lot! But I don’t think it can ever replace the beauty of a guitar. What you think ?? @Les_sounds #jazztok #guitartok #basstok #studio #music #fyp
- 🥺🥺 he loves the studio ! #corgis #jazztok #studiodog #fyp
- Who remembers reading rainbow?🌈 Reading is so important in this generation! Not a lot of kids on books these days . Imagination is everything!! . #reading #fyp #imagination #joelross #fantasy
