I told her she could accessorize on her own 😂 clearly she gets it from her mama 💖
10Last night was so much more than a race. It was a celebration of Kyle, the sport he loved so deeply and the racing community that meant so much to him. Seeing everyone come together at Bowman Gray to honor Kyle, support grassroots racing and carry on something he cared so much about was incredibly special. Having the Bundle of Joy Fund be part of the night meant so much too. Kyle and I built it from one of the hardest chapters of our lives, and continuing to help families grow is a piece of his legacy I’m so proud to carry forward. Thank you to everyone who continue to pray for us, who lift the kids and I up during this time and who continue to share their memories of Kyle. He loved racing, he loved the fans, and I know he would be so proud to see everyone continuing to race on in his honor. ❤️🏁
7The world knew Rowdy, the champion, the competitor, the bow and that unmistakable personality. But I was lucky enough to know every side of Kyle, especially the ones the world didn’t always get to see. How do you take almost 20 years of loving someone and somehow capture what made them them in eight slides? You can’t. There are a million little things that made Kyle who he was and those little things are what I find myself missing the most. So today, I hope we celebrate all of Kyle. The things that made the world love him and the things that made the kids and I so incredibly lucky to call him ours. There will never be another Rowdy but more than anything there will never be another Kyle. My best friend, my other half, the daddy to our babies and the person I thought I would grow old beside. I love you and miss every single piece of you. ❤️ #KyleBuschDay #ForeverRowdy
11Life lately: choosing joy like he would want us to. 🤍
I’ll love you forever. ❤️

7One racetrack to the next. It’s where so many of our family’s best memories were made and where we’ll keep making new ones together 💚🧡🏁
5This trip to Idaho gave us exactly what we needed. A chance to slow down, breathe, and be surrounded by amazing friends who wrapped their arms around us. But grief is strange and I constantly feel like I’m living in two worlds at once. There were so many moments on this trip when I found myself genuinely smiling as I watched the kids fish, swim, explore, and simply be kids in the middle of God’s beautiful creation. But behind every smile was the same thought… “Kyle would have loved this.” “I wish he were here to see this.” I’m learning that two things can be true at the same time. You can thank God for the beauty and joy in front of you while still asking Him why you have to walk through this. You can be cheering your kids on while at the very same time your heart is quietly shattering because someone who should be standing beside you isn’t. I can’t stop thinking that we should be making these memories with you, not learning how to make them without you. Heartbreak and joy no longer exist separately. They simply live side by side in every moment.
6The garden started as something I loved but somewhere along the way it became something we loved. This spring Kyle spent days installing a fully automated irrigation system because in true Kyle fashion he never did anything halfway. He hung the glass hearts we’d collected over the years from our trips to Mexico and decided he knew exactly how to prune the tomato plants for maximum growth after watching one reel. I planted every tomato variety I could find and way too many cucumbers because I loved making his favorite homemade pickles and every summer we’d make caprese from the garden and enjoy it on the back deck with a glass of wine. Those first days after he passed, I’d come out here alone. I’d talk to him. I’d pray to God. I’d cry until I didn’t have any tears left. Now the kids come with me. We pick vegetables, get our hands dirty, and tell stories about Daddy coming out to inspect everything like he’d been farming his whole life. Every tomato we pick and every cucumber we pull reminds me of the life we were still building together. I just wish he were here to enjoy it with us. Somehow, though, every time we’re out here, surrounded by the things we planted and built together, he still feels close.
6I lost the love of my life, my person, and my best friend. The man I built a life with and the person I thought I would grow old with. But I’m still Mom. Grief doesn’t stop parenting. The morning still comes. There are questions to answer, tears to wipe away, races to get to, bedtime stories to read, and two kids trying to make sense of a loss that no child should ever have to face. People keep asking me how I stay so strong. The truth is, I don’t feel strong most days. I miss Kyle every second of every day. I want to curl up in a ball and cry. But I’m a mom. Brexton and Lennix still need hugs, comfort, laughter, routines, and someone to help carry their hurting hearts while mine is shattered. When your children are hurting, something inside of you just takes over. You get up early, have a good cry, and then go make the pancakes. You answer the questions the best you can when you still have so many of your own. You smile for them when you’re in physical pain because you miss him so much. You do everything you can so they can keep being kids and not carry the full weight of all this. As a mom, all you want is for your children to feel safe, loved, and protected, even when your own world has fallen apart. They are the reason I keep putting one foot in front of the other. For Brexton. For Lennix. For him. ❤️

Watching Brexton back at the track is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once because there are moments when I catch a glimpse of Kyle in him, the same determination, the same passion, the same spark, and for a second it feels like a piece of him is still right here with us. These moments are incredibly hard, but they also remind me that Kyle’s story isn’t over. It lives on through the dreams he inspired and the two children he loved more than anything. In the hospital, I made Kyle a promise. I promised him that I would do everything I could to help our children pursue their dreams no matter what. For Brexton, that dream is racing. It wasn’t a dream Kyle chose for him. It was something they shared. They spent countless hours talking about race cars, working together, dreaming together, and building a bond around something they both genuinely loved. Racing is what lights Brexton up and as long as it’s the dream in his heart, I’ll be right there beside him, cheering him on every step of the way. And if one day his dreams take him somewhere else, that’s okay too. And if Lennix wants to get behind the wheel (we just bought her a kart for her 4th bday) it won’t be the same as having Kyle by her side but we will do our absolute best. The racetrack has been home for our family for nearly 20 years. It’s where some of our greatest memories were made, where our kids grew up, and where so much of our life together happened. Right now when so much of our world feels unfamiliar it’s also one of the few places that still feels like home. Every time we get to the track, we’re reminded that a piece of our team is missing. The person who should be standing beside us isn’t there. That part is heartbreaking. But it’s also where we feel closest to him, surrounded by the memories, the people, and the dreams he helped build. So, we race on ❤️
❤️ Samantha, Brexton & Lennix
