Many of us have had a version of this when growing up: wanting to blend in, to feel “normal”, not to stand out too much. And then over time, slowly growing into yourself and realising what you once resisted are actually the things that make you feel the most confident, grounded and like your true self. That full circle moment where something shifts from discomfort into strength. The full conversation with Cora Corre is out now, wherever you get your podcasts.
Cora is a model and advocate, and the granddaughter of Vivienne Westwood. We spoke about what it’s been like stepping in to continue that legacy with The Vivienne Foundation, whilst also navigating grief in public, and in a very personal way - especially when the person you’ve lost also belongs to the world in so many ways. In this episode, in relation to the future legacy of Vivienne Westwood whilst also mourning personally and continuing on the work of the Vivienne Foundation set up by Vivienne Westwood in 2019 to utilise her platform and be a catalyst for change contributing to a better world, Jean and Cora discuss identity, responsibility and learning how to stay true to yourself. Cora is also a friend, which made this one feel particularly personal. The full episode is out now on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. #grief #viviennewestwood #fashion
What started as a conversation about food ended up touching on control, and how easily that can show up in the way we eat. Nat spoke about her experience with disordered eating, and how things only really shifted when she stopped restricting. She started adding things back in - approaching food in a way that felt more supportive rather than controlled. And over time, that balance has made it easier to listen to cravings without it tipping into overdoing it… you feel more settled, and less caught in that cycle. Part 2 of 2 with @natalia
Trying to unlearn the idea that food has to be "good" or "bad". And instead just focus on balance, variety, and how it actually makes you feel. Part 1 of 2 of our lunch with @natalia
My conversation with Anita Bitton really made me think about my own relationship with fear - particularly the fear of being rejected. It’s natural for fear to show up in the way we present ourselves. The parts we hold back. The parts we feel reluctant to reveal.. For me, fear has held me back from being present and embodied. I’m only just starting to believe that being open and honest won’t mean being rejected - it’s actually created space for real connection. Anita spoke about how fear has stayed with her throughout her life, and that really stayed with me. It doesn’t necessarily go away… but it can shift, and change the way it lives with you. Anita Bitton knew how to survive in a room. She knew how to connect, how to work hard, to build momentum. But she hadn’t learned how to take care of herself... Growing up in care gave her resilience and independence, but not all of the emotional tools. In our conversation Anita talks about the moment she realised that external success couldn’t replace internal stability - and shares what it took to build that from scratch. The full episode with Anita is out now wherever you get your podcasts.
When Anita Bitton moved to New York in her early twenties, she was suddenly working with teams and in the industry she’d always dreamt of being part of. Fashion is intense and high-pressure. On the outside, she could keep up. On the inside, she felt invisible. Both rejection and acceptance terrified her - rejection confirmed what she already feared, while acceptance felt just as dangerous. What if they found out who she really was? She reflects on imposter syndrome, and on what happens when success arrives before self-belief does. The full conversation is available to watch or listen to wherever you get your podcasts. Anita Bitton has built one of the fashion industry's most respected casting agencies, @establishmentny, which has shaped the visual identity of global brands including Marc Jacobs and Burberry. She has spent decades in the centre of the fashion community, working closely with leading creatives, nurturing modelling careers but as a child felt isolated and rejected. She grew up in the foster system and speaks openly about how being separated from her birth family left her with a deep fear of rejection that she still carries today. Rather than let fear disappear as she became successful she chose to make it her fuel to propel her forward. The full conversation with Anita is now live on I’m Fine. It’s honest, reflective and one of our favourite conversations about identity, ambition and what we carry with us into adulthood.
"Getting it wrong and owning this is where the real power is." In this episode of I'm Fine, Natasha Silver Bell reflects on her journey - work, single parenthood, and the cost of 'providing'; the tension between financial stability and presence, and what only becomes clear with hindsight. This episode explores the things parents don't always say out loud: the pressure to hold it all together, the fear of failing, and the quiet moments of realisation that come later. Out Wednesday, wherever you get your podcasts. @natashasilverbell @silverbellglobal
