Liquid gold care made simple! Not sure how long your pumped milk is good for? Here's a quick guide based on CDC recommendations: ✨ 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 ⏱️ Room temperature: Up to 4 hours ❄️ Refrigerator: Up to 4 days 🧊 Freezer: 6 months is best, up to 12 months is acceptable ✨ 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 ⏱️ Room temperature: 1–2 hours ❄️ Refrigerator: Up to 24 hours after fully thawing 🚫 Never refreeze fully thawed milk ✨ 𝗟𝗲𝗳𝘁𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗸 🍼 If baby doesn't finish their bottle, use the leftover milk within 2 hours after the feeding ends. These guidelines are for healthy, full-term babies. Premature or medically fragile babies may need different storage recommendations. Save this guide for your next pumping session and share it with another mama! 💙 Source: CDC Breast Milk Storage and Preparation #babybuddha #breastmilkstorage #pumpingtips #breastpumping #breastfeedingtips
Not sure when to switch pumping modes? Here's what you need to know! When you first start pumping, try Stimulation Mode. It uses quick pulls to help trigger a letdown, which is when your body releases milk and it starts flowing. Once you see milk flowing, try switching to Expression Mode. This uses a different pumping rhythm to help remove milk. If your milk slows down, you can switch back to Stimulation Mode to try to trigger another letdown. Yes, you can have more than one letdown during a pumping session! The BabyBuddha 3.0 has 4 modes and 30 suction levels, giving you different rhythms and strengths to try. A few things to remember: - You don't have to use all 4 modes. - You don't need to switch at a certain time. - Higher suction doesn't always mean more milk. - Pumping should never hurt. Pay attention to your milk flow and what feels comfortable. What works for another mom might not work best for you! Save this for your next pumping session, and grab our free BabyBuddha Settings Cheat Sheet through the link in bio. #babybuddha #babybuddha3 #pumpingtips #breastpumping #breastfeedingtips
If you're new to pumping, here's something we want you to know: 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹? A gentle, rhythmic pulling sensation. Some moms also feel tingling during a letdown or brief tenderness when starting a session. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹? Pinching, burning, sharp pain, or nipples that become cracked, bruised, or bleed. Pain that continues during or after pumping needs attention. 𝗜𝗳 𝗽𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘀, 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: 💙 Lower your suction. Higher suction doesn't automatically mean more milk. 💙 Check your flange size. Your nipple should move freely without rubbing against the sides or pulling too much of your areola into the tunnel. 💙 Make sure your nipple is centered before pumping. 💙 Try a different flange size or insert if you're experiencing rubbing, swelling, or discomfort. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽: If the pain continues after making adjustments, or you notice nipple damage, reach out to an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). They can help check your flange fit, pumping technique, and settings. If you develop a painful red or hot area on your breast, fever, or flu-like symptoms, contact your healthcare provider promptly. Remember, the goal isn't to tolerate the strongest suction. It's to find a comfortable setting that removes milk effectively. Save this for your next pumping session! #babybuddha #pumpingtips #breastpumping #flangesizing #breastfeedingtips

Before you buy your breast pump READ THIS! Many moms don't realize they can use their HSA or FSA funds directly on the BabyBuddha website. No extra steps. No reimbursement forms. Just use your HSA/FSA card at checkout. If you're wondering what HSA/FSA funds even are, they're healthcare dollars that many employers set aside for eligible medical expenses. Since breast pumps are considered a qualified expense, many moms can use those funds toward their pumping supplies. That means your BabyBuddha 2.0, wearable collection cups, accessories, and other pumping essentials may be eligible. And because HSA/FSA funds are pre-tax dollars, you could end up saving money compared to paying with regular income. Bonus tip: many moms may also qualify to get their BabyBuddha breast pump through insurance. 🤍 A few minutes of checking your benefits could save you money before baby even arrives. #babybuddha #hsa #fsa #breastpump #exclusivepumping #pumpingmom #postpartum #insurancecoveredbreastpump
PSA for pumping moms 🚨💸 You can use your HSA/FSA card directly on the BabyBuddha website 👏 Which means your breast pump + pumping accessories may qualify to be purchased with pre-tax dollars aka money you haven’t been taxed on yet. So what does that actually mean? 👀 HSA/FSA accounts are healthcare funds many people get through work to spend on eligible wellness + medical products — including breast pumps and pumping essentials. Because the money is pre-tax, moms typically save around 20–30% depending on their tax bracket 💳✨ So if you catch a BabyBuddha sale AND use your HSA/FSA funds? That’s basically double savings 🙌 Shop the BabyBuddha 2.0 Portable Pump, collection cups, accessories, and more using your HSA/FSA card on our website 🤍 Plus, many moms may also qualify to get their BabyBuddha breast pump through insurance! Saving money while making pumping more convenient? We love to see it 🍼✨ #babybuddha #fsa #hsa #exclusivepumping #postpartum #insurancecoveredbreastpump

3𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘃𝘀. 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘀 🤔 Not all breast pumps are designed for the same job! And knowing the difference BEFORE buying one can make a huge difference in your pumping journey. 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗨𝗠𝗣: 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗮 𝟯.𝟬 Think of this as your everyday pump! ✔️ Powerful motor designed for frequent, daily pumping ✔️ 4 modes and 30 suction levels ✔️ Great for exclusive pumping, building and maintaining supply ✔️ Small enough to wear around your neck or fit in your pocket 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗣𝗨𝗠𝗣: 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗱𝗵𝗮 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 Think of this as your convenience pump! ✔️ Motor built directly into the pump inside your bra ✔️ No tubes or external motor ✔️ Great for errands, work, travel, and occasional pumping ✔️ Perfect for nursing moms who need to pump here and there 𝗦𝗼, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗜𝗚 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲? The 3.0 uses a separate motor designed for regular pumping sessions. The Wearable fits everything into one compact unit for convenience, but some moms may find it doesn't remove milk as effectively. And remember, stronger suction doesn't automatically mean more milk! Proper fit and effective milk removal matter most. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲? If you're planning to pump regularly, invest in a reliable primary pump FIRST. Add a wearable when you want more flexibility! Both have their place. ✈️ Flying while pumping? Here’s what you need to know before heading to the airport with your breast pump and milk: 1️⃣ You don’t need your baby with you in order to bring breastmilk with you through TSA. Breastmilk, formula, and pump gear are allowed even if you’re traveling solo. 2️⃣ Breastmilk is exempt from the 3.4 oz liquid rule. You can carry larger amounts—just let TSA know ahead of time. 3️⃣ Frozen milk, ice packs, and gel packs are allowed. Even if partially thawed. Let TSA that you need your breastmilk to be kept at a certain temperature so it doesn't harm of your baby. 4️⃣ Your pump is medical equipment. It does not count toward your carry-on limit. 5️⃣ Bring printed TSA & airline policies. Not every agent knows the rules—having them on hand ready to go helps. 6️⃣ Use a cooler bag or insulated pouches to keep milk cold while traveling. 7️⃣ Request a visual inspection if you don’t want milk going through the X-ray. TSA is required to accommodate. 8️⃣ Pack smart. Keep pump parts organized in a clean travel pouch or wet/dry bag. Bring extra pump parts and your chargers. 📝 Always double check with your airline. Each airline has their own policy for medical equipment, carry-ons, and coolers so it’s best to call ahead. 📄 And don’t forget to keep a printed copy of the most current TSA guidelines in your bag just in case. ✨ Save this post for your next trip! Comment below if you’ve ever pumped while flying we’d love to hear your tips too! 👇

5What are diaphragms (aka backflow protectors)? They keep milk and moisture out of your tubing + pump motor. Clean pump = safer milk + stronger suction. 🗓 Replace every 8–9 weeks ⚠️ Or sooner if: • Suction feels off • You see moisture inside • Parts look cloudy or stretched Small part, big job. Don’t skip replacing them! Did you learn something new? Comment below! The diaphragms shown in this post are for flanges only. Cups have a different looking back flow protector. If you want to see a post on those comment below!
𝗠𝗢𝗠𝗦, 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗦𝗜𝗭𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦! Did you know using the wrong flange size can cause nipple pain, rubbing, and even affect how much milk you pump? And here's something a lot of moms don't know: 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲! Let's make measuring SIMPLE using your BabyBuddha EasyFit Flange Kit. 👇 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟭: 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆. Gently stimulate your nipple so it stands up. Measure BEFORE pumping because pumping can temporarily change its size. 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟮: 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲. Use your nipple ruler to measure across the base of your nipple in millimeters (mm). Do NOT measure the areola! That's the darker skin surrounding your nipple. 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟯: 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲. Your BabyBuddha 3.0 EasyFit system includes 13mm, 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm inserts that fit inside your 24mm flanges. Start with the size closest to your nipple measurement. You may need to try a size up or down to find your best fit! 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗣 𝟰: 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘁! When pumping, check for these signs: ✔️ Your nipple moves freely without rubbing the sides. ✔️ Only a little areola gets pulled into the tunnel. ✔️ Pumping feels comfortable, NOT painful. ✔️ Milk flows well and your breasts feel well-drained afterward. 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗜𝗙 𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗜𝗭𝗘? ❌ 𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹? Your nipple rubs against the sides, feels pinched, or pumping hurts. ❌ **𝗧𝗼𝗼 𝗯𝗶𝗴?** Too much areola gets pulled into the tunnel, which can cause discomfort and affect milk removal. 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗣!🤍 Measure BOTH nipples! They can be different sizes, which means you might need a different flange size for each breast. And remember, your flange size can change throughout your breastfeeding journey, so it's okay to measure again! 𝗣𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁. The right fit can make a big difference in your comfort and milk removal. SAVE this guide for your next pumping session! 📌 #babybuddha #flangesizing #breastpumping #pumpingmom #breastfeedingtips
