Breastfeeding comes with enough uncertainty. No mother should be made to doubt her ability to feed her baby. Many mothers are told they have a low milk supply based on normal newborn behaviors such as frequent feeding, fussiness, cluster feeding, short naps, or a baby wanting to stay close. In reality, these are often signs of a healthy, thriving infant, not proof of inadequate milk. True low milk supply can happen, but it is far less common than the fear of it. When we casually suggest that a mother is not making enough milk without proper assessment, we do not just create anxiety. We can undermine her confidence at a time when she needs support the most. Education matters. Evidence matters. But so does protecting a mother's trust in her own body. One of the best things you can do during pregnancy is meet with an IBCLC before your baby arrives. Most insurance plans cover lactation consultations, and many also cover a breast pump at no cost to you. Learning what to expect before birth can help you start your feeding journey with confidence instead of confusion. Before questioning a mother's milk supply, look at the whole picture. Before offering doubt, offer support.

2𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 Pump parts don’t last forever—and replacing them on time keeps your pump working like it should. Worn-out parts = weaker suction, longer sessions, and lower milk output. ⠀ 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀: ▪️Diaphragms (the soft round part under the cap) Replace every 8–9 weeks ▪️Silicone Flanges (the part that goes on your breast) Replace every 8–12 weeks ▪️Flange Inserts (if you use a smaller size inside your flange) Replace every 8 weeks ▪️Tubing + T‑Connector Replace every 6–12 months or sooner if milk or moisture gets inside ▪️Collection Cups Replace every 6 months or if you notice cracks, leaks, or cloudy plastic ▪️Cup Caps / Upper Caps Replace as needed if they’re worn or damaged ⠀ Keeping extras on hand makes life so much easier—especially when you're tired, rushing, or lose a part. You can leave a set at work, keep a backup at home, or pack an emergency kit in your pump bag. ⠀ 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸? You can find all your BabyBuddha replacement parts on our website. 👏
And that's ok.... it's okay to love something and it still be hard.

2Trying to decide between a primary pump and a wearable? Here's the simple version 👇 💚 Think of your primary pump as the "workhorse." A primary pump is designed to help establish and protect your milk supply, especially in those early weeks and months postpartum. If you're exclusively pumping, returning to work, building your supply, or replacing nursing sessions regularly, a primary pump is usually your best friend. That's where the BabyBuddha 2.0 shines. It's small enough to fit in your pocket but powerful enough to be your main pump. 🤍 Think of a wearable pump as the "helper." Wearables are amazing when you want more freedom. They're discreet, portable, and easy to use in the car, traveling, running errands, or even while you work. For many nursing moms, a wearable may be all they need for occasional pumping, relieving fullness, replacing a missed feeding, or building a small freezer stash. So which one do you need? ✔️ Mostly pumping? Start with a primary pump. ✔️ Mostly nursing but want flexibility? A wearable may be perfect. ✔️ Want the best of both worlds? Many moms use a primary pump at home and a wearable when they're on the go. The truth is, they aren't competitors. They work best as a team. 🙌 Help us choose your favorite?? Primary or Wearable? Breastfeeding is NOT easy but we get up everyday and keep trying. That's what matters.
Before you buy your breast pump READ THIS! Many moms don't realize they can use their HSA or FSA funds directly on the BabyBuddha website. No extra steps. No reimbursement forms. Just use your HSA/FSA card at checkout. If you're wondering what HSA/FSA funds even are, they're healthcare dollars that many employers set aside for eligible medical expenses. Since breast pumps are considered a qualified expense, many moms can use those funds toward their pumping supplies. That means your BabyBuddha 2.0, wearable collection cups, accessories, and other pumping essentials may be eligible. And because HSA/FSA funds are pre-tax dollars, you could end up saving money compared to paying with regular income. Bonus tip: many moms may also qualify to get their BabyBuddha breast pump through insurance. 🤍 A few minutes of checking your benefits could save you money before baby even arrives. #babybuddha #hsa #fsa #breastpump #exclusivepumping #pumpingmom #postpartum #insurancecoveredbreastpump
A normal milk supply looks different for every mom. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s output. Here’s what you should know: ▪️ A full milk supply for an exclusively pumping mom is 25–35 oz per day (over 24 hours) ▪️ That doesn’t mean big bottles every session 2–5 oz is normal ▪️ Output varies during the day (you’ll usually pump more in the morning) ▪️ Pumping after nursing? Getting less than 1 oz is normal baby already fed Things like stress, suction, flange size, and pump quality all affect how much you pump. If you have any concerns or stress around how much milk your baby is getting make sure to talk to your local IBCLC or your doctor. They can help you figure out what’s going on. And remember your output doesn’t define your effort.
The audacity. @Danielle_j_thom
