- To us, fragrance has always been deeply personal. So to celebrate the launch of MERIT New Wave, it only felt right that we introduce something to make it feel a little more like your own. Introducing bespoke engraving — now, with any full-size MERIT New Wave bottle, you’ll have the option to personalize it with any three initials, so it’s not just a fragrance, but an accessory. Engraving is currently available exclusively at meritbeauty.com, on all 30ml MERIT New Wave bottles (US only).
- “Why make an extrait de parfum?” Simple: it wears longer throughout the day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Composed of nearly 30% fragrance oil (compared to the 5-20% found in eau de toilettes and parfums), extraits not only provide a richer, fuller scent profile than other fragrances, but they also last longer (about 8-12 hours) — no midday touch-ups required. It’s a clean fragrance that’s designed to last — both on you and your vanity. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ MERIT New Wave is now available in full-size and a 9.5ml travel spray at meritbeauty.com, and online and in store at our @Sephora locations.

- 6Ylang ylang marked a pivotal turning point in the creation of MERIT New Wave. After months of working on the scent, we’d hit a standstill — we had our base, but were stuck on where to take the middle and top notes. When looking back at our original moodboard, we realized ylang ylang was one of the florals we’d first pulled (it also happened to be one of Dominique’s favorite flowers). But somewhere in development, it had fallen out of the composition, so we added it back in — then everything changed. The tropical flower gave the fragrance the creamy, fruity, sweet floral notes it had been missing — and became not just a focal point of the scent, but of the entire New Wave world. - 6Created by master perfumer Dominique Ropion and Meabh McCurtin, it’s an unconventionally constructed extrait de parfum that honors the traditions of classical fragrance-making while breaking them. Full of contrast and depth, it opens with spicy pink pepper and green aromatics, unfolding into a radiant solar floral heart of ylang ylang and honeyed orange blossom. As it wears, it builds into a rich base of incense, woods and musk, leaving an addictive trail that feels warm and powerful. New Wave L’Extrait de Parum — arriving 10.22.26.

- A critique we often hear (like in focus groups and the comment section), is that our products feel so lightweight that they must be cheap. The truth is, we intentionally design our products to be as light as possible, so they’re easier to carry with you on the go. Because when your routine goes with you everywhere, the last thing it should do is weigh you down.
