- 8She’s BACK with #makeitmonday posts👏🏻 And kicking it off we have the infamous and SOLD OUT @shopdoen FAYE DRESS👏🏻 Thankfully with sewing skills you can bring this dress to life for yourself and stay in budget 😉 This dress is perfect for a breezy summer day or an easy transitional piece for fall paired with boots and a sweater! Using various sewing patterns that might already have, or a new pattern you add to the collection you only have to make a couple hacks to bring this dress to life! Use this LINK: https://canva.link/7l6wxc07vsc7jgu To get details on how to make it #sewist #sewistofinstagram #makeitmondaywithmadison #etsy
- My biggest takeaway is listen to your INTUITION💕👏🏻 I’m forever grateful that after 3 years this is where everything has lead us! I’m many ways so much is making sense and I feel like for the first time I have answers and hope that feels tangible…and while this journey and infertility isn’t over I’m so glad that I found doctors who want to get me answers and figure out root cause! I hope if your in a similar season that you don’t talk yourself out of listening to your intuition and advocating for answers because you deserve it! #infertility #endometriosis #endometriosissurgery #napro #grwm
- 5And just like that I got answers👏🏻 Yesterday I had an exploratory Laparoscopic surgery to assess whether or not I have silent endometriosis. After being on a fertility journey for almost 3 years and taking more drastic steps this year, having a surgery was always an option because all of my tests were coming back pretty normal. The thought of having a surgery was definitely a bit scary though (I’ve never had a surgery or even been to the hospital for anything medical)! Not to mention that when I got my surgery date I started to second guess if it was worth it and if anything would even be discovered because I literally have no typical Endometriosis symptoms…accept for infertility (which is technically a symptom) However, I decided to trust my NaPro Surgeon & my own intuition and go through with the surgery…and I’m so thankful that I did because it turns out I had Stage 3 Endometriosis😱 I’m honestly just still processing the whole procedure & also processing what I didn’t know was going on in my body that has probably been contributing to my fertility troubles…To be perfect honest, I was expecting only stage 1 or 2 endo if it was discovered but stage 3 is wild to me! Based on statistics 20% to 25% of women with endometriosis have the “silent” or completely asymptomatic form of Endo and in cases of women who have unexplained infertility, up to 50% are discovered to have silent endometriosis upon further investigation. I never thought I would fall into that statistic but I’m so thankful I listened to my body (never underestimate the power of your intuition if you feel like something is wrong). I’m also soooo GRATEFUL for NaPro doctors and their approach to investigating underlying issues and having so much experience with Endometriosis & excision surgery. God was truly over the whole procedure and day! The peace I felt going into surgery, my surgeon who prayed over me (that was so amazing), such attentive and kind nurses, and the best support from my husband and mom💕 #endometriosis #napro #naprodoctor #silentendometriosis #infertility
- Not a path I thought I would be taking, but I’m looking forward to getting answers (also explains where I’ve been recently)💕 As someone who has never had a surgery before I wanted to be as prepared as possible to make recovery a smooth process so I’ve been putting together a bag with everything I will/might need! Do you have anything extra you would recommend? 🙏🏻 If you think about it, I would love prayers on Tuesday July 28th as that’s the day I will be having surgery (it will be starting early in the morning) #napro #laproscopicsurgery #infertility #silentendometriosis #surgeryprep
- Such a fun summer project I can’t stop thinking about! This was a @christydawn inspired project based on the Antara Dress but using the Betty Dress View B from @cayden.naughton and hacking it (Cayden has reels for hacking this pattern with more details than I give) As always I’m using a thrifted sheet 😉 #sewist #sewistofinstagram #sewingtutorial #sewingproject #christydawn
- Clothes and personal style have always been something that makes me happy, more confident, or protects me when I feel like so much is happening around me…so I decided that in the midst of countless doctors appointments the past month and a half I would purposefully dress up every time to feel a sense of joy and hope✨ Whether I was going to a 3 minute blood draw, having an ultrasound, meeting with a practitioner for a follow up, etc. I chose to get dressed up every time! I truly believe when we look good we feel good and that’s not just our confidence but our mental state too…clothes and colors make me feel joy and happiness and in a season of unknowns, seeking answers, and asking why I’ll take all the extra joy, happiness, and hope I can get😍 **also, shoutout to NaPro doctors/clinics for doing investigative work and actually looking at underlying problems instead of just labeling patients as “unexplained infertility” and telling them IVF if their only option** #infertility #ootd #personalstyle #hope #fashion
- 12This is the first time I’m actually using my own words to share where life has had me…I went back and forth on posting about it but I think opening up about being in the valley, before you’ve gotten to the other side can be so helpful for others to feel less alone💕 Like many women struggling with #infertility , I could write a whole manuscript on this season of life…but this is just a short snippet of what God has been teaching me and what I’ve learned through this journey! I’m so excited to see where this year takes us👏🏻 I’m beyond grateful for my husband whose been with me every step of the way, helped advocate for me, done research when I had questions, and always been a positive support💕I truly have so much more hope and optimism since working with a NaPro clinic, and have loved learning even more about my cycle and how my body as a whole is functioning! While I don’t have an answer yet, I believe there no such thing as “unexplained infertility”, there’s just infertility where the root cause hasn’t been uncovered! As cliche as it sounds, I’ve always held to the fact that there’s a reason for everything…but often I don’t know what that reason is until I get through the valley! However, my hope in the valley is founded on Jesus, and without him I would never be able to have this HOPE! If your walking through infertility, you are not alone💕 #infertilityawarenessweek #infertilityjourney #hope #naprotechnology
- Turns out a baby lamb just makes your outfit 10X CUTER 😍 🐑 So many people sent me the chicken purse video from @lovejuliadawn (which was the cutest thing 🐓) & given that we have baby lambs right now I decided little Dolly needed a bag to be carried around in! I sewed this bag myself & shared the process in a reel on my page🎀 #farmlife #babylamb #sewist #springstyle #ootd
- Never thought I would be sewing a bag to carry around a baby lamb but it’s truly the CUTEST thing ever 🐑 🎀 So many of you sent me the video of @lovejuliadawn and her chicken purse and I thought it would be fun to create a lamb version😍 What do you think of this sewing project? #babylamb #farmlife #sewing #sewistofinstagram #sewingproject
- The perfect fabric + the perfect pattern = the dreamiest spring dress! 👗 🧵 This is the Ella Dress from @Silversaga Patterns I sewed the new version of the Ella dress that has a raised + drawstring neckline! 🎀 The fabric I used for this dress is this bright & colorful 100% cotton deadstock from @yardbloxfabrics (gifted) and I couldn’t love it more 😍 ✨ I made this dress closet based on the DOEN Sophia dress & shortened the puff sleeves on the Ella dress to more closely match. Have you sewn this pattern? #sewist #sewistofinstagram #springstyle #springdress #yardbloxfabrics

What was originally a fabric for Greece turned into a dress for a special trip the the Mount of Olives in Israel and is now a very social liturgical dress for Holy Week✝️ #liturgicalstyle #maundythursday #holyweek #ootd #sewist

- Sometimes to love your hobbies means to take a break in certain seasons💕 Because part of my content that I share on social media is related to sewing 🪡 , I often feel like I need to be sharing about every single project I’m working on… And when I’m not feeling particularly motivated or inspired, I feel bad that I’m not sharing about sewing and my content deviates from that focus. But that’s when I realize that my life is being ruled by expectations I set for myself, & assuming that other people have certain expectations about what they want to see from me online… And while that might sometimes be the case, often times people really don’t care quite as much (as I do) What are your thoughts about this confession? #sewing #hobbies #sewist #creativeinspiration #sewistoftiktok
- Thanks for all the LOVE💕 on this crochet project that has been years in the works🙈 Next step…BLOCKING & sewing on buttons! #crochet #crochetproject #diy #hobbies #makeyourownclothes
- Replying to @M A D I S O N The fact that I can FINALLY put this cardigan on is such a huge accomplishment 👏🏻 Once I started seeing all the panels together, and saw it start to take shape, I got super excited😆 After 2.5 years working on this cardigan it feels like such a big day! 💕This project was inspired by the @sezane Emile (I keep pronouncing it as Emily but I’m not are that’s right🙈) in the blush pink 🧶 I’m using wool blend yarn I bought at Joann Fabrics (RIP) and while I don’t love that it’s a nylon/wool blend I already had all the yarn so I stuck with it and wanted to make my first project not break the bank 😉 📝 The pattern I am using is the Cardigan No. 31 Crochet pattern from @daisy.and.peace and I’ve been quite happy with the instructions and construction *I chose the size Small* I can’t wait to share the finished cardigan with all of you😍💕 #crochet #crochetproject #wipwednesday #diyfashion
- Trying to get back into sharing what I wear throughout the week with all of you! I’ve always loved documenting my outfits but have been feeling less inspired during the winter, so with warmer temps my creativity is coming back👏🏻 I think it’s always so helpful seeing others thrifted and home sewn outfits online, so I want to start sharing more of what I’m wearing to inspired you that you CAN thrift and sew your dream wardrobe (which I’m all about👏🏻) Outfit details: Sweater - wool @uniqlousa I thrifted Skirt - sewn by me based on @christydawn skirt from their fall collection Boots - @hunterboots I thrifted off @poshmark Jacket - @oldnavy Barn jacket from fall ‘25 that I thrifted new with tags at @savers_thrift #thriftedoutfit #sewyourdreamwardrobe #ootd #styleinspo
- Do you know what’s actually in your clothes? I used to think I knew what was in clothing…until I read this book and realized that caring about and discussing natural fibers is only scratching the surface! Under the surface of the fibers, embedded within the filaments and yarns are chemicals, colorants, finishes, and dyes that might just be the most toxic ☠️ part of fashion…and could also be the main culprit for so many health problems (autoimmune, digestive, respiratory, reproductive, etc.) that we are seeing on the rise today! The crazy thing is that when it comes to food and personal care products, we are given ingredient labels to tell us what is actually inside what we are putting on and in our body…but clothing doesn’t come with an “ingredients list”, and yet our clothes are more than just the sum of cotton, linen, polyester, etc. because aside from the fibers listed on clothing tags 🏷️, there’s a slew of unpronounceable finishes and dyes that we are never told about🤯 Now, all this is not to say ALL clothing is toxic, but if we care about knowing what’s in our food and personal care products, shouldn’t we also care about what’s in our clothes? After all, our skin is considered the largest organ of our body, so shouldn’t we know what’s touching our skin for 24 hours a day? These are the kinds of questions and challenges that @ecocultcom (the author) brings up in her book “TO DYE FOR: How Toxic Fashion Is Making Us Sick — And How We Can Fight Back” If you are lookin for an informative book to challenge your perceptions and thoughts about clothes, I couldn’t recommend this eye opening book enough 👏🏻 #fashionable #ethicalfashion #sustainablefashion #toxicfashion #bookrecommendations

- I’m in the FINAL STRETCH of finishing this project (that has been over 2 years in the making😱)…some of you hav been here since day 1 and I’m sure you are ready to see this cardigan completed just as much as me😂 💕This project was inspired by the @sezane Emile (I keep pronouncing it as Emily but I’m not are that’s right🙈) in the blush pink 🧶 I’m using wool blend yarn I bought at Joann Fabrics (RIP) and while I don’t love that it’s a nylon/wool blend I already had all the yarn so I stuck with it and wanted to make my first project not break the bank 😉 📝 The pattern I am using is the Cardigan No. 31 Crochet pattern from @daisy.and.peace and I’ve been quite happy with the instructions and construction *I chose the size Small* I can’t wait to share the finished cardigan with all of you😍💕 #crochet #crochetproject #wipwednesday #diyfashion
- It’s no joke that this winter has been ROUGH!! From frozen pipes, cold temps, taking care of animals in freezing weather, etc. there were many days I struggled to have JOY…however this winter has truly been character & faith building for me! At the start of our coldest temps in December I was also in the midst of ADVENT…a season of silence & waiting for Christs birth 🌟 So many things were happening all at once as winter emerged and I felt so defeated, but then I remembered the whole point of Advent & Winter as God was quietly whispering “Christmas is Coming” & “Spring Will Come Again”…and Christmas did come, with all the joy! And then January & February winter came again in full blast and I lost the Joy again & the outlook on spring…but then I found myself starting LENT, another season (40 days) of reflection & challenges mirroring Jesus trials and temptations in the desert before he entered into his public ministry. And once again I have been reminded that I’m not alone in my trials, because Jesus (and countless other saints) have gone before me…even in the midst of cold, bleak, and challenging seasons there is still JOY to be found in facing each day as it comes knowing that WINTER is simply a season…that at the end of 40 days, we get day 41👏🏻 not to mention as winter fades, a subsequent season comes after it that is full of such LIFE & JOY 🌹 🍃 🌱 🌼 And while trees are not yet budding and grass is not yet green, and as I wait for spring flowers to bloom…God has blessed me with a reminder that joy and life come again…that reminder, two sweet little lambs we welcomed into our flock🐑🐑 (a month earlier than expected). Their birth was the first glimmer of spring (as lambing season is early spring) and once again I am thankful for seasons & the lessons they teach me (both in life and in God’s beautiful creation) In the challenges and bleakness of this WINTER there is always the HOPE for the first signs of spring❄️ And oh how much less we would appreciate spring if it were not preceded by winter! If you are in a WINTERING season…Spring is coming! #homestead #farmlife #wintering #seasonsoffaith
