- There's an old adage in politics and it's never been wrong. “It's all about the economy, stupid” and that's basically on his side. A lot of people say to me the S&P isn't a good measure of what happens on Main Street. Well in a way it is because it's a measuring for the entire economy where half the people are employed. If you had a falling market, that would be an indicator of a recession coming or something hitting the economy that nobody had seen. None of that's occurring.
- I'm always looking for some indication what the Fed is going to do in October or December. What I think is happening here, and it's rather remarkable, you've got a consumer that is doing very well and at the same time 80% of companies are blowing away their earnings estimates, most of it driven by the productivity and margin enhancement of AI, which nobody saw coming. The best signal I think this administration could do is immediately is remove any taxes on fuel, energy input, diesel, and gasoline. Get gasoline prices down. That's the pain point that everybody realizes every day at the pump. You've got inflation on transportation costs, storage costs. The administration does have the ability to put moratoriums on taxes that are used by families every day and I actually I don't understand why they don't do that.
- Money and family can become a dangerous mix. The moment you have some success, people stop asking for help and start asking you to invest. My rule is simple. If I decide to help, I make it a gift with one condition, never ask me for money again. It keeps expectations clear and protects the relationship.
- Mr Wonderful vs Mr Beast...who do you think will win? Don’t forget to tune in tonight to catch the Season 18 premiere of @Shark Tank Shark Tank Premieres today (Wed 9/30) at 9/8c on ABC. It’s a special 2-hour double header!
- I had to stop by Rules while I was in London. Established in 1798, it is one of the oldest restaurants in the United Kingdom, and the history inside this place is incredible. King Edward VII used to dine here with Lillie Langtry, and they even had a secret entrance. Then you get to the food. Steak and kidney pie, Yorkshire pudding, grouse, sticky toffee pudding. We ordered just about everything. If you are going to experience classic British food, this is how you do it.
- Here’s the proper way to drink English breakfast tea🇬🇧 . You really don’t want to do this the wrong way so pay attention.
- If you look back in history around 25-30 years ago, these were the normalized rates. In fact, they were higher and we had booming economies. It's like the early '90s. The productivity tool back then was called the internet. Now it's called AI, and I'd argue AI is 10 times more powerful in terms of what it can do to the economy and defense and medical research.
- I’m in London for what could be one of the most important watch auctions we’ve ever seen. Four piece unique Rolexes are hitting the block, but the platinum one is the watch I’m watching. My prediction is $17 to $20 million. If it goes beyond that, it could reset the market for gem set Rolexes entirely. And here’s the lesson with auctions. No matter how rich you are, there is always someone in the room with more capital who wants it more than you do.
- What markets want, both domestically and globally, is stable policy. When it comes to tariffs, we now know the cadence of how Trump negotiates. There's punitive tariffs until the other side comes to the table, and then it's a reciprocal tariff baseline that emerges, and that's kind of what's happening in the Chinese negotiation. What it didn't resolve which is causing some angst and inflation numbers to stay higher in the domestic market, is we need gas prices down. We need to resolve this situation in the Middle East. This should not be a US issue only. These energy prices are killing Japan, China, India, and dozens of other countries. I would argue that at the end of the day, they should bear some of the burden of whatever it's gonna take to police this strait in the long run.
- Meeting my younger self was emotional. I looked at him and thought, 'Wow, look at all that hair... and look at that pathetic net worth.
- This is not a recession-based situation. The economy is on fire as measured by the earnings of the S&P. No one saw this coming but Trump is the first AI president, he's getting the benefit of margin enhancement and productivity enhancement across all 11 sectors as all of these companies in the S&P 500 adopt AI. You would think at this point with two wars, tariffs in the US, instability of inflation, and bond prices going up, that the market would sell off, but it's not because it sees around the corner that the American economy is on fire because of the benefit of AI.
- I rarely wear two Daytonas but I’m in a Rolex frame of mind today and I just can’t get over how well these two pair together.
- If you told me an exchange adopted one of these chains, I'd be all over that. The values of those tokens would go through the roof because that is going to be the platform by which tokenization is supported on that exchange. That's the next big thing. So who's gonna get it? Everybody is trying to figure this out. I don't think it's gonna be Ethereum anymore. I don't think it's fast enough or secure enough. That's my own opinion, but clearly they would've had it already.
- It's time to ignite a spark for a new season of entrepreneurs stepping into the Tank! 🦈⚡️ Don't miss the 2-hour #SharkTank premiere, Wednesday, September 30 on ABC and stream on Hulu. @Shark Tank @ABC
- I’ve been coming to The Big Texan Steak Ranch for many years and I have yet to take down the 72oz steak challenge! We’re talking 4 1/2 lbs of meat, three shrimp, a potato, a bun and a salad all in under an hour. If you fail you pay $72. Stop the madness! It’s always a great time here.
- Marriage is actually a huge financial decision. There's no reason to give up your financial identity when you marry. Both of you keep your own accounts and set up a third one for merging your dollars together.
- The star of the show is this 1-of-1 Shohei Ohtani dual Logoman autographed card which just came to market last week for $11 million. I’m wearing it inside of this gorgeous Tiffany necklace. Logan Paul was the first guy to wear a card with a necklace and I said, "Wait a second, that's a discount chain. I can do way better." His Pokemon was a great card, but his chain sucked. Now this is a chain! Tiffany & Co., 2.2 pounds of white gold, and 110 carats of diamonds. The rubies match my watches. It’s just spectacular.
- 6There are a few things I wish I understood before becoming an entrepreneur. It can’t just be about the money. Work life balance is hard to find in the beginning. Sales keep the business alive. Your forecasts will be wrong. And if you don’t learn how to fail, you’ll never learn how to succeed. Entrepreneurship teaches you quickly, but some lessons are a lot cheaper when you learn them early.
- I have to put some bets down on chains that are gonna get adopted. I now know with certainty that ETH will not be the, in my view, the standard across all 11 sectors, primarily because a lot of people think it's too slow. They’re looking for much faster transactional speeds with variance of volumes. You can see that working on Solana and Avalanche. Avalanche has this multi-chain advantage which may be of interest to industry. There's a lot of interesting things going on so now all of us are gonna be forced to take on positions because we simply don't know. Investors make changes all the time. We're always rebalancing when the facts change.
- Institutions that thought the Clarity Act was going to pass were trying to index which tokens to own to get a high percentage of the volatility of all crypto. It turned out at that time, all you needed was Bitcoin and Ethereum, and you got 97% of the volatility. So everything else collapsed after that was discovered. The assumption inherent of that was that Ethereum would become the standard across all 11 sectors of the economy. That has not happened. So now people are trying to figure out, should I take a position in these other chains should they start to get wide adoption? The grail would be some exchange adopting one of these blockchains. That would be a watershed event because tokenization is going to happen through an exchange I think.
- Marriage is a business, because building a life together means building financial stability together. A strong marriage is not just about love. It is about sacrifice, shared responsibility, and creating something together that both people are willing to protect.
- The biggest killer of investment value is too much leverage. You can have a great company or real estate project, but when you’re overleveraged and the market turns against you, your equity can get wiped out fast. Leverage is not always your friend. You have to use it sometimes, but once you’re taking on more than 30% leverage, you should understand exactly how much risk you’re putting on the table.
- Which one do you think he chose? Comment what you would do in his situation. #entrepreneur #business @Logan Paul @IMPAULSIVE
- In most cases, you’re going into debt so you better make sure the value is there. The education is important but the real value is the people you meet on the journey. They become your network and some of the most important contacts in your career.
