6One year ago - tomorrow. Zuza died. Thank you for remembering- sharing- holding her memory 💓
3#1. 🤍 On her very first day, Zuza became the #1 New Release in Grief & Bereavement on all of Amazon. Swipe: she's also a top-5 new memoir in America — on a list with Gloria Steinem. And on the overall bestseller list? #3 — sitting right behind Tuesdays with Morrie, a book that has sold twenty million copies. A 14-year-old girl from Wisconsin. Self-published by her mama. One day. You did this. Every single one of you who ordered, shared, and showed up for her — this is yours too. And we're not done. Tomorrow (Sunday) is the last day to order and be part of her Book Club — live Zoom with me Sept 27 + her playlist. Order, then email your receipt to mailto:[email protected]. Every copy counts as a seat. Two books stand between her and the #1 bestseller spot. Let's spend the weekend finishing what we started. Link in bio. 🤍
She’s here. 🤍 Zuza’s Way is officially in the world. This book holds Zuza’s story—her life, her cancer, her people, her humor, the hard and the beautiful—and so much of it in her own words. Part Two is A Girl’s Survival Guide—the things I wish every girl and woman knew about caring for themselves physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I wanted this book to let you know Zuza. Her humor. Her strength. Her honesty. Her way of looking at life. But I also wanted her story to do something. To help someone. To change a conversation. To remind someone to advocate for themselves, love their people and fully live the life in front of them. And now it’s no longer just ours. It’s yours. 🤍 Zuza’s Way is available TODAY in paperback + Kindle. Link in bio and Amazon And when you read it, I hope you’ll tell me: What part of Zuza stayed with you? Live Like Zuza. 🤍
Tomorrow. 🤍 This is where her story lives. Every chapter is hers — her voice, her words, built from her videos and her texts. And at the end of each one, a QR code: photos and videos you've never seen, so you don't just read her story. You hear her tell it. Then Part Two: everything I'd want every girl — and every grandma — to know about caring for your body, your mind, your heart. From me, as a practitioner and as her mama. Tomorrow morning, 8am, I hand you the link. We buy it together, for her. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month — let's make her a bestselling author by Sunday. Tell me — which chapter are you most looking forward to? 🤍
Before there was the cover, there were these. Some I loved. Some were almost right. But none of them felt quite like her. Until one did. ❤️ Which one would you have chosen? Zuza’s story is available September 4.
I can finally tell you. 🤍 On September 4th, Zuza’s Way comes into the world. There is something incredibly significant about sharing this in September. On September 22nd, it will be one year since Zuza died. September is also Childhood Cancer Awareness Month—something that was deeply important to Zuza. And now, in this same month, her story is going out into the world. There is something heartbreaking and beautiful about that. Zuza’s Way is two parts. Part One is Zuza’s story. Her life, her cancer, her treatment, her friendships, her family, her humor, the hard days and the beautiful ones—and so much of it told through her own words. Part Two is A Girl’s Survival Guide—what I want girls and women to know about caring for themselves physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. And it ends exactly where I think it should: Live Like Zuza. I’m not showing you the cover just yet. 🤍 Over the next few days, I’m going to share little pieces of the journey that got us here. And on September 4th, I finally get to show you. Last September changed our lives forever. This September, we get to put a little more Zuza into the world. 🤍
Tomorrow. 🤍 I’ve been waiting a very long time to share this with you. See you tomorrow.
For months, you've been asking me about the book. I read every comment. Every DM. I couldn't answer yet — because I needed to get it exactly right. Not my version of her story. Hers. In her own words, her own voice. This week our family is traveling to Canada, where I finally get to hug the artist behind part of this book — someone Zuza loved. That's all I'll say for now. 🤍 When I'm home next week, I'm telling you everything.
