YouRowKelseyDay 29 of my 43-day solo Mid-Pacific row, a longline tuna fisherman out of Honolulu changed my day. His daughter had encouraged him to come say hello, and he pulled alongside my boat with a plate of fresh sashimi he wanted to share. It was one of the kindest gestures I experienced out there. I couldn't accept it because I needed to maintain my unsupported status, but his generosity meant more than the meal ever could. The ocean can feel impossibly big, but moments like this remind you just how connected we really are. I'll never forget his kindness.
