Sasha Hamdani MDIt took all my brain cells to make this video. I sat down to do this right after my kid refused to go to swim. This (unfortunately) is not even remotely the first time this has happened, but today I had no fight in me. My initial impulse was to give in because making her go to swim (where I have to sit and watch the whole time in the hot hot heat) seems like torture for the both of us. When I took a step back and asked myself what I would do with that time instead, no thoughts came. I couldn’t think about work or chores or creative projects, I just felt blank. And as I thought about it more, I’ve felt like that a lot lately. Which is very unusual for my ADHD brain. That might be your sign you’re in burnout. It certainly is my sign. And now I have to actually respect it. As my book is being released in August (please preorder it so I don’t have to use my brain to market it), it’s not a great time to be burned out. But let’s keep each other accountable and mentally healthy. Who else is burned out here? #adhd #burnout
