- 3Our next cover reveal: actor Tom Rhys Harries, is about to become one of the most recognisable faces in the DC universe. Stepping into the title role of Clayface, James Watkins’ body-horror origin story about an actor whose desperate attempt to recover what he has lost transforms him entirely, Harries admits the excitement is hard to contain. “I’ve been trusted to play the lead in the origin story of one of DC’s biggest characters. I’m not going to pretend that I’m cool about this.” Born in Cardiff, raised in a Welsh-speaking community and trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Harries built his career across theatre, television and film long before DC placed his face at the centre of a franchise. He is excitable, intellectually restless and inclined to follow one idea until it collides with three others. But beneath the excitement surrounding the blockbuster is a character study about identity, desperation, resilience and the point at which survival becomes something darker. “When you’re playing someone, you’re constantly seeking justification for their actions, whatever they are, so you’re not viewing them objectively.” Clayface first appeared in 1940, only a year after Batman. Since then, the character has moved through multiple names, bodies and moral classifications, appearing variously as criminal, monster, victim, tragic antihero or some unstable combination of them all. “He is fantastical, and then it’s down to your interpretation. I don’t think it’s interesting for me to reveal that to you or say, ‘This is what it is’. Film, television and plays are participatory. That’s where it lives.. thoughts and feelings within us.” With further insight from co-star and former Glass cover star Naomi Ackie, this is a feature you won’t want to miss. Out this week. - 7Ambika Mod has spent her career challenging the idea of who gets to take centre stage. Growing up in the UK, she rarely saw people of Asian heritage reflected on screen, and acting initially felt more like an impossible ambition than a viable career. It was through comedy, improv and the Edinburgh Fringe that the possibility began to feel real. From her breakthrough in This Is Going to Hurt to becoming a global favourite in One Day, Mod has since built a career that refuses to fit neatly into one category. Now, as she prepares for the new season of Black Doves, she speaks candidly about the pressures of an industry where “You never know when your next job might be, or which the way the tide of public favour will turn - the way you might be hot shit one second and people will forget you next.” She also reflects on the persistence of imposter syndrome and the unpredictability of acting.“I won’t let myself be marginalised. I won’t let myself be reduced to smaller roles when I’ve been a lead actress.” Yet ambition, for Mod, is not only about breaking barriers. She wants to be challenged and take risks. Her role in Black Doves offered exactly that, giving her the chance to explore a character unlike anything she had played before while finally fulfilling her wish to tackle stunts and fight scenes. For Mod, the best part of acting is its variety: the people, places and experiences that come with every new role. But that freedom also brings uncertainty. Through it all, she remains determined to build a career on her own terms - one that allows her to be creatively fulfilled while helping to change how South Asian women are seen and portrayed in mainstream Western media. For our Autumn issue, Mod talks about finding her own place in an industry still learning how to make room for everyone. Out this week! - 7Few actors have moved so effortlessly between darkness and tenderness as Jamie Campbell Bower. From The Twilight Saga and Stranger Things to his latest role as Celeborn in The Rings of Power, Bower has spent almost two decades inhabiting extraordinary worlds - and the complicated humans within them. Now, as he steps into Tolkien’s Middle-earth, he reflects on the unexpected parallels between his characters: pain, love, vulnerability and the power of choosing how to respond. “I personally find fantasy, at times, to be a place where we can truly see what it would mean to coexist peacefully,” he says. After years spent inside Vecna’s darkness, Celeborn offered something different: catharsis, sensitivity and surrender. “Softness is not an easy thing to conquer,” Bower observes. “You just have to fall into it.” That shift towards softness has become a defining thread in his thinking. Bower speaks candidly about self-protection, the difficulty of vulnerability and the connections that become possible when those walls disappear. “The most beautiful connections with people come when that is gone, when it is completely removed,” he says. For the Autumn issue, Bower opens up about fantasy, love, art and self-protection, reflecting on the stories that shape us and why “Storytelling and art have the power to remind us of the soul.” Out this week! - 5Keely Hodgkinson’s arrival on the track has been impossible to ignore. Since emerging as a teenager, the Manchester-born 800m runner has rewritten records and collected titles with remarkable consistency. At 19, she broke Kelly Holmes’ long-standing British record by two seconds; by 2021, she was European Indoor and Diamond League champion. Olympic gold in Paris in 2024, followed by a world record at the World Indoor Championships earlier this year, cementing her place among the defining athletes of her generation. Now 24, Hodgkinson continues to command attention - making her the perfect first cover of the Autumn issue. Just two weeks ago, she made headlines at Athlos' London debut as she was greeted by a sellout home crowd before powering to victory in 1:56.40. Her competitive ambition remains clear as she tells us: “I’ve medalled at every single championship and I don’t plan on leaving a championship without one.” That mindset was evident in Paris, where she recalled:“I knew from 250 metres out that I was going to do it. I was in control of the race and I knew how much I had left. Those last five metres, I remember slightly looking up at the screen, thinking, ‘I’m clear”, and just really enjoying the moment.” There is one final outdoor record to break: Jarmila Kratichvílová’s seemingly impenetrable 1:53.28, set in 1983. After more than four decades, the question is no longer how Hodgkinson gets there, but when. Out this week! - From 13 Reasons Why to The Buccaneers, Somali-Norwegian actress Alisha Boe has gravitated toward powerful roles, particularly women who challenge the status quo. Now, Boe finds herself at the centre of a bold new era in beauty. As the new face and ambassador of YSL Beauty’s illustrious fragrance, Black Opium, Boe has embraced a new role in a world of luminosity, seduction and unapologetic self-expression. Sitting down with Glass, she tells us about what this chapter in the fragrance’s story really symbolises: “Black Opium, to me, is pure freedom. It’s fun, sexy and magnetic. It represents a woman who isn’t afraid to be unapologetically herself.” With a fearless spirit and a magnetic presence, Boe is the captivating opener to an issue of vast talent. - 7From her BAFTA and Royal Television Society-nominated performance as Lauryn Lawrence in Top Boy to roles in Moon Knight, The Devil’s Hour and Fuze, British actor and our final cover star reveal, Saffron Hocking has consistently gravitated towards stories that explore power, morality and the emotional complexities of people navigating systems beyond their control. Now, she leads Hit Point, UKTV’s gripping new crime thriller from Urban Myth. Starring as detective Bella, Hocking steps into a world where loyalty, corruption and ambition become increasingly difficult to separate. As Bella’s investigation draws her ever closer to the truth, the line between professional duty and personal conviction begins to blur, transforming the series into a psychological study as much as a police drama. “That’s exactly what drew me to it,” Hocking tells Glass. “Hit Point’s not your typical cop show... You have this really interpersonal story between Bella and Leo. There’s a lightness and fun to it even while they’re surrounded by the underbelly of this crime scene.” In the issue Hocking shares how her career has been built around that same kind of tension, expressing gratitude for the narratives that have shaped her understanding of human complexity. Notably her transformative role in Top Boy and the responsibility of portraying Lauryn’s experience of domestic abuse. “It was the first milestone moment in my career where I realised, this isn’t just acting and it isn’t just entertainment,” she says. “This can actually be education, a real human connection and a way to make people feel seen and heard.” The summer issue is out this week. - 7Over the past decade, actor and our next cover star, Jessica Henwick, has quietly become one of the most compelling performers of her generation. From navigating the political brutality of Game of Thrones to the layered realities of The Matrix Resurrections and the razor-sharp social satire of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, she has consistently gravitated towards stories that interrogate power, truth and the human instinct to survive. Now, she steps into one of television’s most unsettling worlds. Joining the third season of Apple TV+’s Silo as Helen, a journalist determined to uncover the origins of the underground civilisation at the heart of the global hit series, Henwick enters the story at the moment its greatest mysteries begin to unravel. “I think she is such a truth seeker,” Henwick tells Glass. “Honesty is probably the trait she values most in herself and in other people.” Speaking with Glass in London ahead of the new season, Henwick reflects on journalism, storytelling, the future of cinema and why Silo feels less like science fiction than a warning for the present. She also reveals how a simple message to creator Graham Yost unexpectedly led to the role. “I was actually a fan of season one and wrote to Graham... I was just admiring the show, I wasn’t trying to get a role or anything,” she says. “He called me and pitched me Helen’s entire storyline... and I immediately went to my agents and said, ‘Make it happen.’” Following the BAFTA-nominated success of her directorial short Bus Girl, she is carving out a voice behind the camera that is every bit as distinctive as the performances that have made her one of Britain’s most exciting talents. - 4Joe Locke emerged from an open audition of 10,000 hopefuls with nothing more than a headshot and a self-tape. The now 22-year-old actor has spent the better part of his formative years inhabiting one of the most beloved characters in contemporary queer storytelling: Charlie Spring. Three seasons of Heartstopper later, he is ready to let him go. Heartstopper Forever, the feature film conclusion to Alice Oseman’s landmark series, promises both a homecoming and a graduation. “I hope fans will enjoy seeing the end of this story because we get to revisit a lot of things,” Locke tells Glass Man in the Summer issue. “Now that we’re a bit grown up, the characters have also grown up - and seeing these elements morph into something more mature is truly special.” For Locke, the parallel between actor and character has never felt more honest. When he first stepped into Charlie’s shoes at 17, he was, by his own admission, still figuring out his place in the world. The man sitting across from us now knows exactly where he stands. “It felt like for the first time he’s the one in control of his own story,” he says of Charlie, and you sense he means himself just as much. “It sort of felt like a very natural progression for me.” Some endings, it turns out, feel less like a goodbye and more like an arrival. The next stop? We’ll let Locke guide us. GLASS Man is out this week! - 5Ellie Bamber has always known how to inhabit a role. Playing Kate Moss, though, required something altogether different. The British actor, who is our next Summer cover star, has built a career on precision and range since the age of 12, from the Donmar to the Almeida, from Les Misérables to Nocturnal Animals. But nothing quite prepared her for the moment Kate Moss herself chose her to tell her story. Moss & Freud, directed by Academy Award-winning James Lucas, places Bamber at the centre of one of the most intimate and storied artistic relationships of the early 2000s. Depicting the months Moss spent sitting for Lucian Freud in his Holland Park studio during her pregnancy with daughter Lila, a portrait emerged. And so did a new chapter of Moss’s life. Bamber candidly admits the weight of it all wasn’t lost on her.”I think there was definitely a bit of imposter syndrome, like, are you sure you want me to do this?” she tells Glass. The answer, it turned out, came directly from Moss herself. “Kate quickly turned around to me, and she was, like, ‘You’re playing Kate Moss - smoke out the window.’ And I remember thinking, oh wow, yeah, that is who I’m playing. I can allow myself the freedom to be naughty and to be a rule breaker.” With permission granted, the rest, like the painting itself, is the stuff of myth. Summer Issue of GLASS hits stands this week! - In a fashion landscape captivated by the fleeting, Louis Vuitton’s Monogram endures as a masterclass in timeless allure. Conceived in 1896 by Georges Vuitton, the emblem - interlaced initials softened by floral motifs - has evolved from a practical safeguard against counterfeiting into an enduring symbol of savoir-faire. From aristocratic trunks to It-girl arm candy, its presence has been both constant and quietly transformative, absorbing decades of cultural shifts while remaining unmistakably itself. Collaborations with artists and designers have reimagined its canvas, yet never diluted its essence. Now, at 130 years, the Monogram is not merely celebrated: it is reaffirmed, a living icon that continues to balance heritage with reinvention. Coinciding with the announcement of the opening of the Louis Vuitton Hotel opening in London’s Mayfair on the 24 April, for Glass’ Digital Spring Cover, we look at how this symbol continues to prove that true luxury lies in permanence, not novelty.
