Royal Ballet and OperaHell hath no fury like the Queen of the Night 🌙 On 30 September 1791, The Magic Flute received its world premiere at Vienna’s Theater auf der Wieden. To mark the anniversary, we’re revisiting the Queen of the Night’s legendary Act II aria, ‘Der Hölle Rache’. In a blaze of coloratura, Mozart sends the voice soaring to some of the highest notes in the operatic repertoire as the Queen commands Pamina to murder Sarastro or be disowned. 📅 The Magic Flute returns to our Main Stage from 13 December. 🎥 Diana Damrau #TheRoyalOpera #TheMagicFlute #Mozart #Opera #RoyalBalletAndOpera
