Royal Ballet and OperaA farewell to every beautiful dream 💔 In the final act of La traviata, Violetta realises that Alfredo will return too late. Alone and gravely ill, she bids farewell to the happiness she once knew in ‘Addio del passato’. Verdi’s music rises from quiet reflection into a cry of anguish, as Ermonela Jaho pours all of Violetta’s love and despair into the aria’s soaring final moments. ▶️ Our 2019 production of La traviata is available to watch on Royal Ballet and Opera Stream. #TheRoyalOpera #LaTraviata #Verdi #Opera #RoyalBalletAndOpera
