MiahcarterReplying to @Ina 😘 120KG DOWN and somehow my body is STILL a topic of conversation. I think people forget that weight loss surgery is a tool, not a magic wand. I’ve worked incredibly hard to get where I am today, physically AND mentally. Just because I’m still a plus-size girl doesn’t mean my journey hasn’t been successful. I didn’t go through all of this to meet society’s beauty standards or to become a size that makes strangers comfortable. I did this for ME, my health and my future. You can lose 120KG and people will STILL find something to criticise. But one thing I’ll never allow anyone to do is make me feel like my progress isn’t enough. I’m proud of the girl I was at 34 stone, and I’m just as proud of the woman I am today. Both versions of me deserve respect. Your body doesn’t determine your worth.
