During the early stages of development, we talked a lot about our childhoods, nostalgia, and the heritage perfumes we grew up loving. They were rich, evocative scents full of depth — the kind of artfully constructed fragrances we felt didn’t exist today. In an industry dominated by overly literal, one-note scents, we missed that complexity and heritage craftsmanship, so that’s what we set out to recreate. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Retrospect is an homage to those iconic vintage fragrances — crafted with the same old-world techniques but made with clean ingredients and a modern perspective. The name itself, meaning “a review of past events,” embodies this process.
