(11:23 am EST) I’m writing this with my coffee, the most important part of my day, the closest I get to meditation I guess… My mind is still mushy but my pride is strong (so I’m holdin on!) Hey! My new album Philadelphia’s been good to me is OUT NOW up in that world. Thanks tons to my band o’ bros the Violators for hoofin’ it with me all these years because everyone’s got some extra sparkly, shimmery and shiny moments on this one (Jesse! Check the final instrumental gtr outro at the very end of “avalanches of snow” and you’ll hear the most sparkly Jesse Trbovich gtr ever) Kyle Spence on the tubs! Adam Langellotti and Mathew Jugenheimer: we spent many many hours in the OKV Central zone or was this some kinda 3 year dream? Extended musical family! Sarah Jones, Francie and Jon from Florry, Steve Gunn, Rob Laakso, Mikel Avery, Greg Cartwright, Natalie Hoffman, Farmer Dave Scher… so many cosmic besties in the world lived in this one with us. Makin a kv album is a way of life but I feel like I lived in this one hard starting since early 23 (?) …it’s a blur and I feel like I’m still makin it and that’s the beauty I guess. But it still feels crazy to let ‘er go! Really excited to come out and play live for all our sweet fans tho, so, sheeit, maybe this is just the beginning (?) Huge thanks to all the musicians above as well as the rest of the extended crew: Rob Schnapf, Doug Easley, Matt Qualls, Matt Schuessler, Brian Rosemeyer, Jessica Thompson. Jamie Krents and Oliver everyone at Verve Records! Rennie Jaffe and Shira for holding my hand thru fkn everything. Perry Shall! (We got Philly a lot didn’t we?) And my og life producers (my fam): Zanne, Awilda, Delphine ❤️❤️❤️ So many in my crew I couldn’t do it without. Love yall too! I’m gonna have to get deep with production notes later I think, haha I’m floating too much for now. Hope you love it!
