Cherif reflects on the attitudes towards women and masculinity he was exposed to growing up, where having multiple partners was often treated as a measure of status among men, and vulnerability was discouraged. Meeting his fiancée challenged those beliefs. Through her emotional openness, he began to understand the importance of acknowledging his own feelings, learning to love himself and recognising how his actions could affect others.
