Jack EdwardsEveryone’s talking about one of my favourite authors — even Dua Lipa’s Service95 book club — sooo here’s my book report (with no spoilers) for Klara and the Sun!!! This was Kazuo Ishiguro’s first book published after winning the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2017, and only served to prove exactly why he deserved it. It’s a story about Artificial Friends, and a warning about the limits of robots to understand true human emotion, despite their best efforts. Now Klara and the Sun is coming to the big screen, directed by Taika Waititi and starring Jenna Ortega!! I’m so intrigued to see how these elements are incorporated into the film, and see this new iteration of the story. See you in the cinema October 23rd, eek!!!! @sonypictures.uk [ad]
