Hamlin WeldingSome people hate AI but I'm over here using it to make me more efficient in my business, being a solo owner operator. I just launched a new tool for my website called Sparky. Instead of me wasting hours emailing back and forth on the small projects, gathering information from the customer, they can now give Sparky all the information, generate images from text for thier project, and it will email me one data sheet for me to quickly quote it. I need to be focusing on doing quality work in the shop, not sitting there emailing over a $500-$2,000 job when I have $20k-$100k projects to be turning around. I just can't make money off the small jobs (I'm talking real hours and actual shop rate). You see some people post "I only spent 2 hours in the shop and 2 hours on site and charged $1,500" but they are leaving out the hour spent emailing, the hour spent measuring the job, the hour loading and unloading tools, and the extra hour spent that isn't accounted for. So you actually only make $40/hr, not the $120/hr you thought or said you made. This only took me about an hour to make and integrate onto my website with 0 coding experience. It would've cost me thousands to pay someone to make that and maintain it. #welding #hamlinwelding #smallbusiness #fyp
