Hamlin WeldingI've put quiet a few hours under the hood with the XTool laser welder these past couple of days. Burned up about 10 lenses before I realized a few things I was doing wrong. ✔️ Torch angle definitely matters with the laser gun and you have to be especially careful when you're not welding in the flat position. Hot spatter beads can fall into your barrel and get on your lens very easily. ✔️ Keep your torch orifice clean - same way you do with a MIG gun except cleaner. Pull the barrel off, look down it and make sure its clean! ✔️ Be able to recognize when and which lens needs to be changed. If your torch seems like its blowing flames... your lens is cooked. ✔️ I can notice pretty quickly if my laser is off center because the gun will no longer "walk" itself while it welds. When you have a good bead going with the laser, you just let it drive itself and very carefully steer it. The smallest tack will throw you off and you have to anticipate them by lightening your hold on the torch so it rolls over it. #welding #laserwelding #xtool #fyp #explorepage
