Hamlin WeldingI created this little custom end cap so it was super easy for my customer to install. Something didn't jive with my CAD model and it placed that post too far up from where I wanted it to land. So instead of driving all the way back (5 hour round trip), I made this so I can just mail it. I shaped the steel plate to a piece of tubing that was cut at the same angle as the one on the job site. I 3D printed that little block to have the same angle as the tube and left a slot on the backside so the internal seam doesn't get in the way. I boxed this little guy up with an included a tube of super so the customer can unbox in and throw it on there. I know it's a small detail but I know it'll help someone down the road or you can even start making your own custom end caps like this for hidden connections, etc. #welding #fabrication #protip #tipsandtricks #fyp
