Faherty BrandWhile we were out in Rockaway, Queens, we visited our dear friend Paul Schmidt at his surfboard shaping studio in Marina 59. Paul’s been shaping surfboards for over a decade and launched his studio in 2014. His workshop is tucked away inside a repurposed shipping container. Initially a personal project, he decided to commit himself to it full-time when friends kept requesting his boards. More than 10 years in, Paul is keeping the tradition of hand-shaping boards alive.
