AleStewed apples to give your gut a little extra love this fall!!!!🍎✨ The benefits are truly endless: - Rich in pectin (a soluble fiber that feeds beneficial gut bugs) - Supports production of SCFA's like butyrate (fuel for colon cells, so anti-inflammatory, supports gut lining health, & important for good metabolic health) - Supports regularity & digestion - Supports elimination of excess hormones & waste + much, much more!!! Here’s how to make them: - Cut apples into small cubes (*Honeycrisp works so well) - Add to a pot + cover almost completely with filtered water - Bring to a boil, then add lots of cinnamon + a pinch of salt - Lower the heat & cook for ~7–8 minutes, stirring occasionally - Add a tiny drizzle of maple syrup if you want - Drain & finish with more cinnamon + your fav toppings I had mine over this protein buckwheat for even more fiber, minerals, & blood sugar support🤌🏼 For the buckwheat: cook @bobsredmill buckwheat cereal according to the package instructions. I use slightly less water because I like it thicker/cakier. Once cooked, add protein powder ( I used @sarahwraggewellness Optimize). I lightly scrape/fold it into the buckwheat instead of fully stirring so it stays fluffy instead of turning mushy. Easy, cozy & such a staple fall gut support breakfast/snack 🫶🫶🫶 #stewedapples #guthealthy #guthealing
