Gaby NikoI love messy sketchbook pages, but sometimes I just want less frustration, fewer surprises, and more satisfaction while drawing. Here’s my little way of bringing some order into the chaos 🐥 1. I start by arranging my references digitally on my iPad (Here I used photos from Unsplash and Pexels). 2. Then I lightly plan the page with simple pencil shapes, just to mark space for each study — no details yet. 3. Once everything fits, I can focus on one drawing at a time, sketching and coloring each study without rushing. 4. Once the drawings start coming together, I fill the empty spaces between them with simple shapes and color. It helps balance the page and visually connect everything into one composition. Not every sketchbook page needs to (or should) look like this, but if you’re feeling a bit stuck or overwhelmed, this can be a very satisfying way to reset 🦉 #sketchbooking #drawing #mixedmedia
