Chopin Institute🎷 Summer Stage in Żelazowa Wola 🎶 Classical music and jazz have been intertwined for decades, stimulating and complementing one another. Fryderyk Chopin’s compositions continue to prove an excellent source of inspiration for jazz musicians – and are drawn upon by both established artists and those of the youngest generation; by those who work within the traditional language of jazz, and by those who experiment at the intersection of many other musical styles and genres. Last year, we launched the Chopin jazz scene with concerts in the park surrounding Fryderyk Chopin’s Birthplace in Żelazowa Wola – performers included Leszek Możdżer and Adam Makowicz, Kuba Więcek and Artur Dutkiewicz. In the coming weeks, the series of jazz events returns, reaching out to an ever-wider range of generations and musical styles. ✨ Another artist we’ll hear on 15 August is Aga Derlak, who has released four albums of her own compositions to date and won the Fryderyk Award three times, in the categories of Jazz Debut of the Year, Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. 🎫 Tickets: http://tickets.nifc.pl
