Chaka Khan

This month in 1974, Rufus released “Tell Me Something Good,” the Stevie Wonder-written single that became a breakthrough moment for Rufus and Chaka. The song climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on Billboard’s R&B chart, reached No. 56 on Billboard’s 1974 year-end Hot 100, and earned Rufus their first Grammy Award. The talk box groove! The stop-start tension. That voice! Where were you the first time you heard it? #ChakaKhan #Rufus
