Chaka KhanReleased as a single this month in 1985, “Through the Fire” has become one of the defining songs in Chaka’s catalog. When it first came out, it reached No. 15 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart and No. 60 on the Hot 100. What’s remarkable is how much the song has grown over time. Its place in Chaka’s body of work now far exceeds that original chart run. Decades later, “Through the Fire” stands as a true Chaka standard and one of the songs fans return to again and again. #ChakaKhan #ThroughTheFire
