kylie | pilates instructorFORM CHECK: back floor lunge Love this move for your hamstring but a lot can go wrong when pulling against tension of a spring load. If your lower back starts to hurt, modify. Smaller range of motion, lighter spring load, or do it at the front. A strong stabilizer is needed for this move. Both in your core and your working leg. The main thing to look for is the back and upper body. If you’re too upright it puts a lot of tension in the lower back. Hinge slightly forward and only go as far as your body allows you. It’s a tough move so don’t forget to give your body a break if needed bod. | modern Pilates education
