Best FriendsBest Friends teams are currently on the ground helping people and pets impacted by flooding across the Navajo Nation, New Mexico and southeastern Utah. We're working side by side with local responders and animal welfare partners to get supplies to impacted communities and make space for displaced pets, as well as help keep people and their animals together. In the middle of all that, there’s Honey Bun. 🥹 Shortly after the flooding began a good Samaritan spotted this tiny puppy lying wet and motionless. She feared she hadn’t survived. But Honey Bun was alive. Thankfully she started to perk up and within a couple of days, she was eating well and looking brighter. After receiving some basic vet care and knowing she would be alright the very same woman that found her is now fostering Honey Bun while she waits to join a local rescue. 🧡 The work is still continuing across the region and as communities assess the damage new needs come to focus. You can support Best Friends and help more pets like Honey Bun get the help they need when disaster strikes. ➡️Donate now at the link in bio
