As a kid, Ive always had a rebellious nature and ALWAYS HELD TRUTH TO POWER. I was bullied until I Started fighting back and speaking up for myself and others. thats when i reaized the Energy of advocacy and how important it is to stand up for whats right. This moment is full circle for me. Last year, Carlos Niño invited me to step into a supportive role in adding some of my artistic vision along side @saulwilliams . we had this Special night at @treepeople_org. It was so incredibly in touching. The intention and energy we had on stage was unforgettable. Its a tremendous honor to contribute to nights like this , as the music speaks to the present moment, The music of now and the poetry are both stunning and impactful, Demnding us to consider real change And to wake the Fuck up!!After That night, I did Not think anything would come from it. While life continued, the talks of that night from people who were there Proliferated almost every event / preformance after. there became Demand for this to be on wax. Later, a home for this baby was discovered by @intlanthem and boom! It was released to the world. Today in The face of this perpetual adversity, im thrilled to wake up to the news of the honest work that we all vulnerably shared Being recognized by a Grammy nomination ! these are very tough and ground breaking conversations that must be had and Although I feel very conflicted about the Grammys and the questionable past they’ve had, I am deeply thankful and honored to be part of a movement that advocates for transformation in humanity. bringing truth to power all while this chaoas keeps infiltrating us! #music #fyp #grammy #saxophone🎷 #flutetok
