Vivian | Your Rich BFFBesties, let’s go an adventure. For night one of Weddingpalooza we wanted to host a welcome dinner for all our friends and family. I mean, they were coming all the way to Italy, right?! We chose Crotto dei Platani because it was right on the water and had a two story set up that was perfect for an aperitivo hour and then dinner. For aperitivo we served lots of yummy bites and spritzes - my biggest regret is that I didn’t get to try them all myself! We pulled up shortly after our guests had arrived, and were overwhelmed with love. No one tells you how insane it is to see everyone you care about in one room!! I wore a simple, but stunning Zimmerman dress with my trusty Hermes flatforms for comfort, and boo wore a suit to match my dress from Thom Sweeney with comfy Loro Piana summer walk shoes. Our dinner tables were named after all of our favorite restaurants because food is SO important to boo and me. No matter how crazy our lives and careers get, we always find time to share a delicious meal and we wanted our guests to feel the same. We were seated at Table Westville because it was the location of our first date 😚. We served tuna tartare, shrimp and squash blossom gnocchetti, roasted duck, and tiramisu. And we capped off the night with a serenade from our band Boys 4 Road while admiring the lake & the Swiss Alps in the distance!
