YasmeenAugust 7. Today we commemorate every martyr who lost their life. When I began writing my EP, I was driven by the story of my great grandfather, the sole survivor of our family from the 1915 genocide. His journey inspired this project, and this song is a tribute to the countless stories I’ve heard about his experiences during that harrowing time. His survival is the reason our family exists today. We honor him and all the lives that have been tragically lost. never forget. #neverforget #assyrian #armenian #seyfo #1915
