Ellie 🦋🪷At first I thought the consultant had the wrong x ray🤣 I try not to think of what ‘could have’ been but it makes me so sad to think if I had a diagnosis sooner, I could have potentially prevented some of the pain im having now due to other muscles overcompensating. And potentially corrective treatment whilst my spine was still forming. Also having had brief access to medical insurance made me realise how just how stark the difference is between private and NHS, especially when it comes to diagnostic investigations, which is so saddening bc now the cost of private healthcare is inaccessible to me (as with many others). Onwards and upwards, getting NHS investigations isn’t impossible but it does require hard work and perserverance, and learning how to self advocate ❤️ #scoliosisawareness #hypermobility #autism #ehlersdanlos #medicaladvocacy
