UNICEF USAThirteen-year-old Azuz and his family fled Al Fasher, North Darfur, after their home was destroyed in Sudan’s ongoing civil war. "I miss Al Fasher — the family there, the games we played, our friends and relatives. I miss our house, our lives before the war," says Azuz. "If the opportunity comes and the war ends, I will return ..." Azuz is one of millions of children displaced by the conflict in Sudan — forced from their homes, communities and childhoods. UNICEF is on the ground helping children like Azuz access education, psychosocial support and essential supplies and care. The world cannot afford to look away.
