UNICEF USAEight-year-old Maryam has been battling malnutrition for over a year and a half in Gaza. Her mother, Madlala, has been by her side every step of the way — worried, exhausted and doing everything she can. "I have been suffering along with her," Madlala says. "Even when she gains enough weight to be discharged, she relapses again." No parent should have to watch their child go hungry. UNICEF needs immediate, safe and unhindered humanitarian access across Gaza to scale up lifesaving support for children.
