Selesitila HarveyI wish I could go back to this exact moment and tell her: “You have NO idea how good your life is going to get.” 🤍 At 16, I really didn’t like myself. I talked to myself in ways I would never talk to someone I loved. I couldn’t see what was good or beautiful in me. But somehow, when I danced, I felt different. I felt confident. I felt free. I felt like I belonged. And looking back now, I realize maybe God knew exactly what He was doing. He gave me something that helped me keep showing up, even during a time when I didn’t really know how to love myself. Now, years later, I’m still dancing. I get to share my culture, tell stories through movement, and stand on stages I once could only dream about. The girl in this video couldn’t have imagined the life waiting for her. And honestly, neither could I. So if you’re in a season where you don’t like who you are, where you feel stuck, or where you can’t imagine things getting better… Please keep going. Keep showing up. Keep doing the things that make you feel alive. You don’t know what God is preparing you for. You don’t know how much more beautiful your story can become.
