Sara Botsford… undone and unapologetically me. This year, I’m stripping it all back. Back to the basics, back to my core, back to who I was before the world told me who to be. The beauty industry can be a scary place for a woman. Youth is glorified and we are sold endless ways to reverse time, leading us to believe we somehow become less valuable with every new gray hair, skin sag or crease. We edit our photos to smooth the lines, brighten the skin, and erase the signs of time…and sometimes it’s just to make ourselves feel good in the moment. But before we know it, the reality of what we looked like in our 30s, 40s, and beyond won’t even exist. We’re left chasing a version of ourselves that was never real to begin with. Today, I just wanted to share me…the undone, bare, me. The Sara who is so grateful for every day and knows getting older is a privilege. Past, present, and becoming.
