Hailey Hubbs Photography✨ 3 things I do to keep the kids feeling their best in a photo session: 1️⃣ Keep the prompts interactive. Kids don’t need to sit still and smile perfectly — they need connection. I give them playful prompts, let them explore, and encourage parents to engage with them naturally. When kids feel seen and not pressured, their real personalities shine through in the photos. 2️⃣ Keep a smile on my face no matter what. Whether they’re shy, wiggly, or full-on crying, I stay upbeat and calm. Kids pick up on our energy, so I never show worry or frustration. And honestly? Those imperfect, emotional moments often make for the most meaningful photos. Letting kids feel their feelings helps them settle so much faster! 3️⃣ Let kids be kids. If they want to run, jump, pick flowers, or build a stick fort, I follow their lead. Their curiosity creates the best candid moments. And when they’re busy exploring, I can sneak in sweet shots of mom and dad connecting in the background.
